Legislative power brokers across the country have long designed district lines in back-room deals that entrenched their control for years, if not decades. But now, Democratic lawmakers in New Jersey are carrying out a power grab in an unusually public fashion: They are seeking to make Republicans a permanent minority by essentially writing gerrymandering into the State Constitution.
The New Jersey plan comes amid a national reckoning over the consequences of gerrymandering and has been met by fierce opposition across the political landscape and not just from Republicans and nonpartisan watchdog groups.

pain is coming
Honeywell is leaving something like $40 million in state tax incentives on the table, too. New Jersey can't even bribe employers to stay here anymore.
The communists are slowly, but surely, taking over the country by any means they can think of.
Pain is inadequate.
Dems Gerry
Repubs sue
SCOTUS reverses
BORING
“Dakka” — noted Ork economist explains how to fix New Jersey
(Or course dakka is how Orks fix everything...)
TRUMP WON.
We are still winning, every day more and more.
The only thing the democrats do when they have power is try to pass laws to expand government and spend more money. They won’t be able to do that, so what’s left? Noise.
The Senate was everything. SCOTUS is everything.
It doesn't seem to be very difficult when you consider that in the midst of a booming economy, people voted to puts the RATS back in charge of the House. I know that the Republicans certainly helped them as much as they could, but it's not like there was any pause about doing it and what it would mean.
Courts just upheld NJ’s 10+ rd magazine ban. Ownership will be a felony. Police commish does not rule out door to door searches to confiscate & arrest (warrants?).
Thank you, Gov Chris Crisco. NJ is now officially fascist.
Someone should take em all out at once and all they would get is life!No death penalty. They would be treated like a king in prison for what they have done.
I have said similar.
They never take out the right ones.
This from the NYT...I think I’m going to have a spell.....

______________
The House was stolen via ballot harvesting/felon vote/illegal vote and selectively withholding returns, along with failing to count selective absentees.
Until and unless that is addressed forcibly, we are on our collective way to the gulag USA.
Is there a petition to change the State’s name to ‘East California’ yet?
I’m not in any way dismissing fraud. It’s another indictment of the Republicans that (A) they didn’t do anything to guard against it, and (B) haven’t said ro done anything after it so blatantly occurred and continued right in front of them, and while we’re at it (C) don’t seem to be mobilized to prevent similar in 2020. Mind boggling.
Thanks C19fan. Remarkably, this appeared in the NY Slimes.
I hear ya and agree.
They will take it over with demographics; capitalists don’t have many children. They figure out the present value of a child’s costs, and opt out.
The problem for the communist parasites is that they’re losing their hosts; growing areas of my state of NJ have no taxpayers, just outstretched palms. We’re not just losing our white middle-class tax base, we’re losing their employers (even larger hosts). This is what is driving the anti-Amazon rage in neighboring NY; the permanent underclass there needs a healthy host, not a corporation receiving tax breaks. They know every public service now has to be geared towards the Amazon complex and the 1%ers they’ll move in, while the immediate area gentrifies and the outlying areas continue to deteriorate.
Well, we have a town in my county in NJ named “West New York”...
