[T]he song Kiss The Girl, from the Disney hit The Little Mermaid, is more misogynistic and dismissive of consent than cute. By performing the song multiple times each semester, the Tigertones elevate it to an offensive and violating ritual ...
The premise ... is that the male Prince Eric, on a date with the beautiful female Ariel, should kiss her without asking for a single word to affirm her consent...
Lyrics such as ... she wont say a word/Until you kiss that girl, unambiguously encourage men to make physical advances on women without obtaining their clear consent...
The song launches a heteronormative attack on womens right to oppose the romantic and sexual liberties taken by men, further inundating the listener with themes of toxic masculinity ...
The singers reinforce the heteronormativity reflected in the words of the song ...

Still, it's amusing to see what these juvenile undergraduates, fresh out of their Womyn's Studies classes, do with their spare time on campus.
It's hard to wonder, also, if such an angry girl isn't that way because no men want to come within 10 feet of her.
THAT’S GAY!!

Oh Puke!!
This is going to be the end of our evil sick race.

OH Gawd! Save us from these feminist shrews!!
Bet if it was “Kiss The Boy”, they wouldn’t complain.
Oh my dear Lord — these critics can’t even read the parable right.
The prince would kiss the girl TO UNDO THE EVIL CURSE THAT TOOK HER VOICE AWAY. Now maybe I’m guilty of Christian think, but if that isn’t a parable of Christ (which is the entity the critics really hate) — what IS?
Things happen in the parables that fairy tales constitute which have a very special context! This isn’t a how-to on general courtship!
In the movie, Ariel unambiguously signaled her consent to be kissed via body language. Noa and her heterophobic feminists don’t like to kiss boys or have boys kiss girls.
It is unlikely that all lesbian kisses are consensual. It would be interesting to read articles about unwanted lesbian advances.
ps.
I have forgotten how to imbed pictures into posts. Can you remind me of the syntax? Thanks.
They do realize the lyrics to the song were written by a gay man, who wound up dying of AIDS.

Angry Noa is far from the norm in Plainview — a semi-industrialized area that straddles the Long Island Expressway.
Also, there was the Prince that kissed a sleeping Snow White without her consent...
I’m so glad I was in my 20s-30s back in 1960s-’70s. With so many feminists today, I’d be reluctant to even ask a girl out because she might accuse me of offending her.
