For the first time since the 2018-midterm elections, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with President Trump at the White House Tuesday.
Their meeting was originally supposed to be closed press, but that all changed when the White House press pool was invited into the Oval Office to broadcast their remarks.
President Trump started the meeting by thanking Pelosi and Schumer for showing up and made his case for additional border security.
"I am proud to shut down the government over border security," Trump said. "I will take the mantle."
"They're pouring into our country. We have to have border security. We have to have a wall," he continued.
After some back and forth with the Democrat leaders, Pelosi started to panic and said they should not continue in front of the press.
"I don't think we should have a debate in front of the press on this," Pelosi said.
"Its called transparency Nancy," Trump shot back.

President Trump then continued, leading Schumer to later argue the same.
"Let's debate, let's debate in private," he pleaded. "We shouldn't shut down the government over a dispute, and you want to shut it down."

After the meeting, Pelosi and Schumer ran to the cameras outside of the West Wing and further slammed President Trump's position.
"He will get no wall and he will get a shutdown," Schumer said. "This temper tantrum that he seems to throw will not get him his wall."
He looks very uncomfortable? Where did you get that? He appears to me to be just listening. Pence is a great guy!
What’s the use of talking with Schmuckie anyway (other than to skewer him in front of the media)? He’s the *minority* leader...
I get the impression he enjoys Trump as much as we do! You often see him smile and laugh when Trump makes a good point. He can’t do that in front of Nancy and Chuck though but I’ll bet he was laughing inside.

I thought Pence was too quiet at first. But President Trump probably wanted it that way. He’s the boss after all, and this is definitely in his wheel house.

President Trump is a master at work. Schumer had enough sense to keep his mouth shut mostly but he looked like a conniving , evil weasel, nothing righteous about him. Hwe needs to be forced to give him 10 Democrat votes in thee Senate to carry the Wall vote.
Pelosi ahot he mouth off. defying the righteous sense that a wall makes. Obviously Pelosi is owned by the left, she needs 17 more votes to get her speaker-ship, and 15 of those are radical lefties who oppose Pelosifer. So how does Trump get her those 17 votes secured without the left?
You are watching the Master at work. PDJT is going to beat both Pelosi and Schumer like a drum. He exposed their foolishness to the whole country, and exposed the fact that they do not give a fiddler’s F**K for America.

Pence was not uncomfortable. This was well palnned and well played, Good Cop ( Pence) Dad Cop ( Trump) We just did not get to the Good Cop part.

It was like watching goldfish in a shark tank!!! Trump didn’t get to be Trump because he’s timid or apologetic.
VP Pence sat like his sphincter muscle was biting a hole in the seat cushion.
