Nationwide, about 89,000 police will fan out in the streets, an increase from 65,000 last weekend, when more than 130 people were injured and over 400 arrested as the protests degenerated into the worst street violence to hit the French capital in decades.

In addition to the closure of the Eiffel Tower, many shops and museums across Paris, including the Louvre, the Orsay Museum and the Grand Palais, will be shut on Saturday for safety reasons. Music festivals, operas and other cultural events in the capital were canceled.

the frogs just can't keep this up, week after week. 89,000 police?

not to mention the loss of tourist dollars which can NEVER be regained.

macaroon needs to resign, see a shrink, put his wife in the old folks home, and move to tunesia.

Where are all the Christmastime Tourist going who wanted to see old French Churches, assuming there are any such Churches left? Spain may be a safer bet for now. Not sure about England, unless it’s far away from London.

Macron is just the tip of the problem. They need a sane non-kleptocratic pro-christian/pro-jew pro-business anti-tax anti-illegal alien government, but monkeys will fly out of you-know-where first.

Every time I see photographs of the rioters, they look like the deranged Anarchists we have here in Seattle.

Why are thousands of Anarchists rioting against a Carbon Tax in the streets of Paris?

Soros?

the GLOBALISTS want us to suffer, but not their businesses.

Anarchists never saw a riot they didn't like.

when vermin like soros create moron-bots, sometimes they may lose control.

It is already Monday morning on the other side of the pond.

Drawn in by a headline appearing as though there were new riots about to break out at the beginning of the work week.

We don’t need Fake News on FR.

That’s what we think they need. That’s probably not what those anarchists want. My guess is they want more socialism and less taxes and they want rich people to pay for it all.

Socialism is like junk. You need more and more and cold turkey’s a drag.

I won't spend any more time with the likes of you beyond saying that just because you've already seen something doesn't make it fake news; and I didn't write the headline, and it is wrong to change it.

They can mount the 89,000 for one single weekend like this....but you can bet on Monday....every single cop will be on a off-day for rest. Over-time? You can figure with travel time and everything added....they probably did 30 hours over the period in over-time.

If the Yellow-Jackets did this every single weekend for two months....the system would collapse.

it's already been going on for weeks, building instead of abating. even after macaroon cancelled the fuel tax increase- first temporarily, now permanently.

the really real problem for macaroon is if this continues to spread, like it has to brussels (home of the european stinking union,) and netherlands.      the evil elite are NOT going to like that.

They closed everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre, which are 5 miles apart.

That would mean the National Assembly of the Arts, Place Vendome(Rodeo Drive of Paris), The Rue de Bac, Tuileries Garden, Rodin and Picasso Museums, Place Dauphine, Sainte Chappelle, that prison place(I have some great pics).

Probably the Assembly Nationale, US Embassy, all of Embassy Row, Chamos Eleysse....

No reason to visit.

I remember years ago visiting the French cathedrals & getting hit on by Arabs. They had no regard for other religions or cultures.

I imagine that can take the fun out of touring, when you have to worry about somebody who won’t stop leering at you.
I guess you become practiced at keeping your face blank of most expression, so as not to send any ‘signals’.

France was visited by 85.7 million foreign tourists in 2013, making it the most popular tourist destination in the world.[2] France ranks fifth in tourist spending behind the United Kingdom, United States, China and Spain.[3]

if you figure that france has already had 3 weeks of turmoil, and nobody in their right mind is booking a tour now, it is is a huge financial hit. paris sidewalk cafe waiters don't have Americans to insult. the horror.

who to blame?

Say what you will about the French, but when they revolt, heads do roll.
