I cant breathe were the final words uttered by Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi after he was set upon by a Saudi hit squad at the countrys consulate in Istanbul, a source briefed on the investigation into his killing told CNN on Sunday.
The source, who has read a translated transcript of an audio recording of Khashoggis painful last moments, said it was clear that the killing on October 2 was no botched rendition attempt, but the execution of a premeditated plan to murder the journalist.
During the course of the gruesome scene, the source describes Khashoggi struggling against a group of people determined to kill him.
He repeatedly says, I cant breathe. The transcript notes the sounds of Khashoggis body being dismembered by a saw, as the alleged perpetrators are advised to listen to music to block out the sound.
According to the source, the transcript suggests that a series of phone calls are made, briefing them on progress. Turkish officials believe the calls were made to senior figures in Riyadh.
Some of the details in the transcript seen by CNNs source have emerged in previous reports of the recordings content, but Sundays report is the fullest account of the transcript that has so far been published.

I wonder what Ambassador Stevens last words were...
"There's not a smoking gun, there's a smoking saw," he said.
Old school or hi-tech.
Wonder which one puts out more smoke?
Sorry, not believing these reports. Who created the transcript? Who is the "source"? Turkish "law enforcement"? Yeah, very believable, I'm sure.
How many times do I have to tell the media I DON’T CARE!
My bet is on power tools. More efficient. You should always use the right tools for the job.
Dr Salah Mohammed al-Tubaigy aka "Dr. Death" was supposedly the chopper-upper.
This SOB supported the Muslim Brotherhood which supported ISIS. ISIS crucified, burned alive, drowned and otherwise savagely abused people.
He got what he deserved and more of them should get it.
Once again the DemocRats and leftist media are threstening America’s best interests to get at Trump and gutless Republicans in Congress are refusing to support him.
Mueller’s working on it.
Journalist? Good riddance!
Hey CNN and all other networks, generally speaking, when people die, most develope an issue with breathing.
It’s kind of like when Keshoggi’s Brotherhood, AQ, Hamas, and Hezballah friends and associates, cut off childrens heads, or make children cut off their parents heads with a short dull knife. From the video footage they circulate, they generally stopped breathing along the way.
And don’t forget about the agonizing pain experienced. When Keshoggi’s lifelong associates dismember a child, or have a child dismember a family member, the pain experienced is probably close to the level of excruciating pain experienced by aborted children.
Just putting it out there.
If you can talk, you can breath.
10 YEARS this coming June. any chance we can get Trump to tweet about it, and hammer Obama and his disgusting Iran payoff?
They found machine guns, handguns, silencers and CATTLE PRODS at the Iraqi embassy in London after the fall of Iraq in 2003.
. . . and Christa McAuliffe’s last words were “What’s this button do?”

Some of the details in the transcript seen by CNNs source have emerged in previous reports of the fictional recordings content, but Sundays report is the most detailed of the Turkish regime's fabrications
Dear Silverleaf - you would have to believe a sovereign has the right to kill anyone who disagrees with him/her. I do not believe any one man/woman has that right. At the very least Khashoggi(sp?} deserved a trial, and though I think it would have been abhorrent to smuggle him from the Embassy to Saudi Arabia, to face trial there, and most likely eventual death anyway, it would have been more acceptable, and carried out in a more humane fashion. Evidently Khashoggi put undeserved faith in his homeland, and paid the ultimate price.
I trust nothing Turkey says.
So, at this point I’m still more inclined to believe Saudi Arabia.
And since the source is CNN, there is no credibility to this, and plenty of axegrinding / agenda / shilling.
