This is how ice ages begin.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam today declared a state of emergency ahead of the upcoming storm, which has brought snow and freezing rain across the southern United States.
Heavy and accumulating snow is expected in southern Virginia through Monday, the National Weather Service warned. Downed trees and limbs may create significant power outages or cause additional travel hazards.
On Friday, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency for all 100 of the states counties.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin also declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm for all 77 of the states counties. More than 10 inches of snow accumulated in Oklahoma.

Before the Tea Party there were the Freepers - standing in the gap. Without conservative fighters the US would long ago have flickered and faded.
FreepersV2 will probably be the new Minute Men.

Northam is an idiot, but anyone can see the danger in all those Bristol NASCAR fans driving on snow-packed mountain roads. They drive wild enough on dry summer pavement. That’s the real emergency.

So far, no ice age in my corner of Oklahoma. A little cold tonight, 19, but no snow or ice. A smattering of rain Wednesday or Thursday forecasted, but it’ll be in the 50’s then. Not exactly balmy, but I’ll take that over 5 months of winter up north. Too old for that. About 6 or 8 weeks of winter is plenty for me.

I’ll believe the Ice Age is on when glaciers return to Glacier National Park. Snow in December? Meh.

I'm just the messenger... But there is a science behind our current temps. The Ferrel cell has become less elongated, shorter on the surface, and more round. This pulls more warm air from the equator and Hadley cell to a higher latitude, ie San Diego. Same here in Southern Az. The warmer we are the more heat that is being drawn from the meeting zone of the arctic cell and the Ferrel cell making it even colder in the northern latitudes. One latitude cannot dictate another. Two different critters. Think A/C system cycle and how it works.

Gotcha!
Sounds like a Variation of

Lol... I'm on it and understand. But seriously... We keep looking for and trying to find just one smoking gun. When in reality there are about 6 that happen in cycles at one time that has created this to happen over and over. We have been warm on this earth 15% of it's history compared to the normal 85% ice age. Been trending down to colder temps for only about 8,000 years now. Pretty self explanatory to anyone with any minimal level of intelligence. It's due again... We are quite late in the long term.
