Paris was in lockdown early on Saturday with 'thousands' of French security forces braced to meet renewed rioting by "yellow vest" protesters in the capital and other cities in a fourth weekend of confrontation.....
The Eiffel Tower and other tourist landmarks were shut, shops were boarded up to avoid looting and street furniture removed to avoid metal bars from being used as projectiles.
About 89,000 police were deployed across the country.

The French love socialism, free stuff. They are now out there demonstrating about the high cost in taxes required to pay for all that free stuff.
Their answer: Lower gas taxes and fix the cost of public utilities. And find someone else to pay for the all important Save the Planet initiatives.
But there is no someone else and the Fight Climate Change Movement is one of the great scams of the 21st Century.
My bet: In the short run nothing will happen that isn’t paid for by Government borrowing. In the long run some handsome disciple of Karl Marx will charm the French into voting him to office forever.

Did you notice that the French protester malcontents went from “The Yellowjackets” (badass, aggressive wasps s with a nasty stinger) to “The Yellow Vests” (a dull item of clothing suited for crossing guards).
Media characterization is deliberate, folks.

Service jobs, or what I call value added jobs, do not create wealth. Manufacturing CREATES wealth.
How can you say that? LE Pen got a huge percent of the vote. The Yellow Jackets are the people that live in exo-burbs and rural areas. They drive cars and take care of themselves. Like in the US, those are are conservatives.

Those are not the French Special Riot Police. Those are not even regular, uniformed Gendarmes. They are not even in uniform, they are identified as police by armbands. Some are wearing blue jeans and tennis shoes. What is going on here?
