A photo of George HW Bush's service dog lying downbeat besides the casket of his old master on Sunday has spread across social media, causing an outpouring of emotion.
Bush's son Jeb, Governor of Florida, retweeted the photo, with the simple words: "Sully has the watch."
Abigail Ogle, KOCO News anchor, tweeted: "Sully, the service dog of President George H.W. Bush, keeping watch over his best friend. Rest In Peace, 41. Good boy, Sully."

Completely staged, or somehow the dog was savvy enough to know precisely where, geometrically, front and center was.
This whole thing is staged by the MSM, who hated Bush. As I was walking toward the radio to turn it off on hearing Obama wax eloquent, I heard him say about Bush, “...an attitude missing today.”
So that is it. All the praise being heaped on Bush will be cast as what is sorely missing from Trump.
I saw an episode of a program about dogs on Netflix concerning a girl with epilepsy getting a service dog.
The dog was trained to bark when she had a seizure. They didn’t mention anything about the scent, but I suspect that if she has enough seizures around the dog, he will learn to smell them before they happen. It seemed a little odd to me that he wasn’t being scent trained.
What is the reason?
Is that from the Bible?
“Is that from the Bible?”
No, it’s just a story. Somewhat like “Footsteps In the Sand,” which is also a wonderful story, and it isn’t in the Bible, either. Though both stories can be said to have been influenced by the Bible.
May he rest in peace
My comments are on the press fawning over him. They are disingenuous
I’m a service person to my dog: I wait on her “hand and foot” and love every minute of it.
Reminds me of the stories about Carrie Fisher’s dog from a year ago when she passed away.
You can apply for a pet to be certified as an emotional support animal. A shrink or psychologist has to certify
It also helps in some states with getting aN apartment. Can’t deny your pet or require deposit I think.
Lucky dog
Idk press was pretty bad to Bush 43.
It was not known the former President Bush had a service dog. The animal was never noticed in any photos, or print.
The first print seen in July 2018 referred to Sully as the newest BUSH family member. Anyone, explain?
The story tugs at the heart strings of animal lovers everywhere as well as showing the family as being one of kind heart and normal. GOOD PR. (there is no animosity here, just fact.)
My mom had one of those. It was a Boston Terrier and everyone hated it. You couldn’t get close to her without it trying to bite you. My friend has one that is a chihuahua. The most obnoxious little chit you’ve ever seen.
Yeah, obnoxious dogs abound.
We have a cross breed dog that is nuts. Hyperactive. Can’t break her from jumping on top of people. She’s a 50 pounder that thinks like she weighs 5 lbs. So when people are here I cage her. They always say....oh I love dogs, let her out. I refuse. If she can’t behave she doesn’t get the pleasure of being around people.
Not since he and his family publicly embraced the Clintons and their way of remaining in power.
I compare this to among other things the way they treated Reagan at his passing
Usually they do scent training, along with other training, before they are placed with their charge. Apparently, the seizure scent is similar in all epileptics because they can train dogs with anyones post-seizure scent.
Have YOU ever owned a dog...?
They are smart, loyal, and have love for their Master...
I have two right beside me right now...They feel our pain, and hurt...
I cannot think of any reason to put down a well trained service dog that is that young.
The dog will be ‘married up’ with a new partner who needs him.
Funny thing that “God-dog” stuff.
In France, a dog is un chien, not a ueid
In Germany, a dog is ein hundt, not a ttog.
In Spain, a dog is una perro, not a soid.
Pithy nonsense and tripe.
Staged photo. Dog is just sleeping.
ive never seen that but i believe you. Its just obnoxious now.
If you are that fragile that you cant go to Home Depot without a Pomeranian in your cart, I dont want to shop with you.”””
I put this behavior into the same category as Stolen Honor or Stolen Valor.
