A photo of George HW Bush's service dog lying downbeat besides the casket of his old master on Sunday has spread across social media, causing an outpouring of emotion.
Bush's son Jeb, Governor of Florida, retweeted the photo, with the simple words: "Sully has the watch."
Abigail Ogle, KOCO News anchor, tweeted: "Sully, the service dog of President George H.W. Bush, keeping watch over his best friend. Rest In Peace, 41. Good boy, Sully."

How come every pet has to be a service dog or so it seems now days.
Besides being a pet that loved his master what did the dog do special.
A highly trained dog, Sully can perform a number of commands, including opening doors and fetching items such as the phone when it rings.
Named after that pilot?
Sully is named after the airline pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who landed a passenger jet on the Hudson River in 2009, saving all 155 passengers and crew on board.

Bush probably had a legit service dog. Most of them you see now are just dogs that people insist on dragging around with them.
just dogs that people insist on dragging around with them.....
and use to cut lines and garnish undeserved sympathy
Try this:
Sully is to return to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he will help other people in the future.

Glad to hear. I was concerned that he might be put down.
i’ve never seen that but i believe you. It’s just obnoxious now.
If you are that fragile that you can’t go to Home Depot without a Pomeranian in your cart, I don’t want to shop with you.
Mourning? Dog is just laying there resting. Give me a break.
“...George HW Bush’s service dog lying downbeat besides the casket...”
What abominable writing.
Yep. The Bush’s are giving up the loyal service dog
Staged photo.
The article states the dog served as a companion since the wife died in June. How is that a service dog? And that the dog goes somewhere else now. Whatever.

That's what Yeb does with his wife.
H.W., as an aviator, would likely appreciate this aviation joke:
Have you heard that there’s a new drink, named after Captain Sullenberger, from the famous “Miracle on the Hudson”? It’s two shots of Grey Goose and a splash of water!
I hope my presenting this joke is not in bad taste, as a time of mourning for a family can be traumatic. I did not always appreciate his politics, but I do appreciate George Herbert Walker Bush’s service to his country in uniform, and thereafter as a civilian.
Rest In Peace, Mr. President.
I know a lady who looks normal and has a service dog. She has epilepsy and is legit, though.
Can’t tell by looking.

Animals grieve, too. People forget how much they love us.
Poor Sally is really shaken and the photo says it all about the legendary friendship and enduring bond of mans best friend.
