Gov. Rick Scott late Friday suspended embattled Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes even though Snipes had already agreed to step down from her post in early January. Scott replaced Snipes with his former general counsel even though Peter Antonacci has no elections experience.
Snipes responded by rescinding her previous resignation — and will now be "fighting this to the very end," her attorney said during a Saturday news conference.
"We believe these actions are malicious," said Burnadette Norris-Weeks, who said that Broward County voters should be concerned about what Scott is trying to do in the Democratic stronghold by putting in an ally who could oversee the office into the 2020 elections.

Does she serve at the pleasure of the gov? or is it an elected office?

I haven’t found anything solid about whether she still gets her pension after this suspension, but some people think the purpose behind the suspension is to “interfere” with her benefits.
“The executive order states that Snipes will not receive any pay or benefits while suspended, but it remains unclear if her suspension would affect the pension she is set to receive after her retirement as Broward’s supervisor of elections. Scott has appointed his former general counsel, Peter Antonacci, to lead the department.
Norris-Weeks said she believed Scott’s executive order was, at least in part, meant to interfere with her benefits. Mainly, she said, it was done “for the purpose of embarrassing Dr. Snipes” and “tarnishing her record.”

Does America have the will to defeat these people? I have hardly seen any action with the voter fraud, just a very few people held accountable. We had eight years of fraudulent Obama who Larry Nichols says Romney actually should have beaten. Nichols says 8 million votes were sto!an so Obama could win. We can see by Trump’s rallies he no doubt had a lot more votes. Hillary can’t even fill a gym.
Scott — I am sorry. I rescind the suspension. You are immediately fired.

I guess “goin’ on a snipe hunt” is going to be considered “hate speech”.
It is an elected office, but apparently the governor can remove an incumbent official for serious performance issues and appoint someone to serve until the next general election.

Snipes doesn’t need any help in those departments.
Affirmative Action has nothing to do with where she is. She is where she is because of merit. After all, she was appointed by conservative Republican Governor Jeb Bush. Not to mention: Martin Luther King, Jr. and Harriet Tubman were gun-totin’ Republicans! And what if Thomas Sowell moved in next door to you???!!! What would you say then, you bigot???!!!
