WHAT I'VE LEARNED FROM LIFE

"I've learned that although it's hard to admit, I'm secretly glad by parents are strict with me." (Age 14)

"I've learned that silent company is often more healing than words of advice." (Age 24)

"I've learned that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater the need to cast blame on others." (Age 16)

"I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you miss them terribly after they die." (Age 53)

"I've learned that making a living is not the same as making a life." (Age 58)

"I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you."

"I've learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision." (Age 66)

"I've learned that when I have pains, I don't have to be one." (Age 82)

"I've learned that I still have a lot to learn." (Age 92)

I’ll see if I can find it on DH. Did you get some good lightning pictures?

They chase them, but then a big one might land on their back and that spooks them. LOL! They’re so cute. Oddly enough, Mystery kept his distance pretty well today. I wonder if he “heard” us talking last night. LOL! Or maybe Peaches actually put the fear into him. He’s so big, even though he’s not mean. :)

At this point, just go to the beginning. It was cranked up by then. Obey and River took it all in stride. LOL

No lightning pix tonight. :-( It all stayed up in the clouds so no visible bolts.

I’ve seen ours get spooked when a leaf lands on them too. But as soon as they see another leaf move, they’re off after it.

Great that Mystery stayed away today, whatever the reason. Now to hope it lasts.

Just this very minute, another shaker. Not a big one, but big enough to shake my monitor, chair, the room, etc. First noticeable one today.

If you can say, what general area are you in? My aunt’s place was over near the back way into the airport, and near Earthquake Park. She usually got some big shakers. We lived on the Hillside - Huffman Road area - and didn’t feel them as much.

Right!? That’s about the best Christmas set-up I’ve ever seen!

I’m going to try to go to sleep a bit earlier tonight since tomorrow is head-bonking day. Fixin’ ta take a melatonin. Peaches is out so it should be easier, unless I hear a cat fight starting. Which I hope I don’t.

Oh, I did squirt ol’ Mystery with the squirt bottle stream...not as powerful as I’d like, but haven’t had a chance to go find a better one....and he didn’t like it one bit. LOL! I would feel sorry for him, but......

That must have been the 4.8 that showed up a few minutes ago. It was only about 7.5 miles from you so I wondered if you felt it. Let’s hope it’s the only noticeable one for a while!

Yikes! I hope that’s the last one that you can feel for the night. I don’t know how you even slept last night!

It was awesome!!!!

Got all appendages crossed for luck that Peaches stays OUT tonight. A good night’s sleep is in order!

Aaaaah, so you DID squirt Mystery today. THAT’S probably why he kept his distance. LOL

Northern Lights and Boniface on the east side.

So many homes were lost or destroyed in the Earthquake Park area, and many wanted to rebuild there. NO WAY would I want to stay near there!

A very pleasant good Sunday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone this morning?

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did you have a nice day for a romp at the lake with Gizmo?

Your storms calmed down by the time they reached us this evening. A little lightning and thunder but nothing rough, fortunately.

Well, that's good. It was a nice day here but a bit breezy. Gizmo did do a little track and field towards the end of our visit.

Oh, and O.U. won the Big 12 championship yesterday 37-23 over Texas.

We were pleased! LOL The storms were mighty rough when they moved out of OK and we didn’t want any of that!

Is Gizmo beginning to figure out there are all kinds of cool critter smells to track?

apparently he is. What started his running back to the pickup pivoting to the golf course were those sounds of geese and other stuff. It took several seconds for me to finally catch up with him.

Of course, at 54 years old, I'm amazed I can still run that fast. 🤣

Good morning. E...((HUGS))...glad you and Gizmo had a good time, and congratulations on your OU win.

A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

We had another shaker this evening, but much shorter, thank goodness. radu has been keeping me informed of the magnitude as fast I report the shaking. I am really ready for this to stop.

LOL! The racket of geese is hard for a pup to ignore. Gotta go get ‘em!

You’re still a young ‘un. I’ve got 12 years on you and there’s no way I’d be able to run after him. Would just have to wait for him to come back - - and hope he WOULD come back. LOL!

I’ve had the USGS page open in one Window while on the computer the past two days and nights, keeping tabs on the updates. Grateful the vast majority are staying north of Anchorage, though I’m sure the people living within the cluster aren’t having a good time of it. At least they’re small but they still aren’t fun.
