You couldn’t speak like that in the better days of the ‘50s. No way that would appear on TV; the news networks themselves would cut it. Let’s get real - we’ve become hugely coarse and low-class in our every-day lives and it’s both reflected and promulgated by the media e.g., TV. My parents would never speak this way, hardly in “real life” much less from a bully pulpit seen by millions.

Fox News comes off looking worse than anyone else in this. They put Kid Rock on the air, and then get offended when he acts like anyone who knows Kid Rock would have expected him to act. I mean — this is KID ROCK they put on the air, not Taylor Swift.
