It is getting old....ALL day and then a couple big ones in the last hours. I’ve not seen or heard anything more fall.
I really would like to be able to relax, perchance to sleep. I am so happy that it is the weekend.
Wowwww. I can see why you’ll be sleeping in the living room! No point in cleaning stuff till the world stops shaking! Just hope there are no more 7.0 shakers!
It’s wild how the thing even caused the drawers to slide open! Crazy.
How are the roads between where you live and where you work?
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...biggest AND longest quake I’ve ever been through...just had another one.
You and Gizmo have a good Saturday.
Happy to know you’re okay Kathy. Prayers for you all going through this.
Let me know if help is needed.
*HUGS*
I do. I will have to look for one. Maybe a super soaker for that bad boy. LOL!
Guess I’d better go. I haven’t gotten Peaches to go out yet, and benadryl or not, he will no doubt be a pain all night. LOL! See ya tomorrow!
Just had another big shaker...seemed a bit longer and harder than the 5+ we just had.
It was probably old by the time the big one stopped tossing everyone and everything around.
I’ve only felt one tiny trembler that hit here when I was a teen. It freaked me out big time. I can’t imagine going through pretty much constant shaking for hours or days.
Right now, USGS shows 300 quakes in that area today - between Anchorage and Big Lake. Yeowy!
It’ll be hard to relax, I’m sure. The adrenaline level must be mighty high after the day’s events.
A Super Soaker would most definitely get his attention!
There have been times I wanted to use one on these lil heatherns but then I’d have to mop. LOL
Good luck getting some sleep tonight. Catch ya tomorrow.
Yep, a 5.3 about 10 miles NNW of Anchorage. Things aren’t slowing down very much at all. :-(
Good evening/morning, 21twelve...glad you have the aftermath already under control. It is, for sure, a good theft deterrent. LOL!
I will check closer for damage tomorrow. I used up half my energy just getting home. Then the rest of it starting clean up in the living room and kitchen.
WOOHOO!!
Pro.....#50!!
radu.....#100!!
Roads were fine, especially since it was bumper to bumper traffic going nowhere real fast. The traffic lights were out.
All the drawers opening was a first for me, too.
Thanks, lauren...big and long and pretty scary. Aftershocks all day and a couple 5+ ones in the last couple hours. I am ready for them to stop. Lots of cupboards and drawers opening and throwing their contents on the floor. I’ll be cleaning up stuff all weekend.
At least there wasn’t anything that jumped out at you. I hope you don’t run across anything when you check closer.
It must have been a white-knuckle drive home and that’s enough to zap one’s energy to begin with.
All you can do is clean a little at a time. Kitchen and living room first, then the bedroom, then worry about the rest. Don’t wear yourself out trying to get it all done this weekend because pay week is next week and you’ll need all the energy you can muster for that.
As you like to say, ODAAT. :-)
I am going to try to get comfy and watch a movie and maybe sleep. Has it been a whole hour without a shocker?
I’m going to be sorting CDs forever.
Rest well when you get there.
Yes....ODAAT. Good night.
I hope you’re able to get some sleep. After the day you’ve had, I’m sure you’re whipped.
No, there have been plenty of small quakes the past hour but the majority are closer to Big Lake. With luck, there won’t be any bigger ones close to you tonight so you can rest.
You’re going to have your hands full for a while, no doubt about that. Just the two rooms you showed us will take you a while with sorting and putting everything back where it belongs. Now would be a good time for Peg to pay you a visit. :-)
Oh Ma!
I wish I was there to help but I am useless.
I pray you are ready for winter.
