Dirty Cop James Comey Sues House Republicans Over Subpoena — Wants Testimony to be Public Where He Can Hide Behind ‘That’s Classified’ Defense — Likely a Stunt to Run Out the Clock Until Democrats Take Power
Former FBI Director James Comey has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington fighting a subpoena from the House Judiciary Committee to testify in a closed-door session.
Comey was served a subpoena from Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., last week and said he would only testify if the hearing was public.
In the 17-page motion filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia late Thursday, a lawyer for Comey says the closed-door deposition “exceeds a proper legislative purpose, is issued in violation of House rules, and unduly prejudices and harasses the witness.”
The House Judiciary Committee, alongside the House Oversight Committee, has been conducting a joint investigation into the Justice Department and FBI’s actions ahead of the 2016 presidential election. This includes the probe into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.
The chairmen of both committees wrote a letter to Comey on Sept. 21 requesting he appear voluntarily for a closed-door interview, to which Comey said in a letter on Oct. 1 that he would decline the invitation.
According to the motion filed Thursday, Comey did not hear from the committees until the subpoena to appear was issued on Nov. 21.

I don’t see how any judge has the authority to interview in this case. If Comey has nothing to hide then he has nothing to loose by testifying. Comey is in danger only if he committed a crime or if he lies.
The thing that gets me is that some judge will think that they have more authority then congress. In fact the Judaical branch has decided that they have all the power over the other branches of Government. No one is calling them on it. If the courts try to interfere in this matter then congress should declare that the Court has no standing and ignore them by using congress’s power given to them by the constitution. Then force the judge to come in and testify about what he was thinking.
Also this lawsuit should not end Comey’s requirement to show up on the date he was called to testify. If he does not show up then an arrest warrant should be issued.

Haven’t democrats, and people in the FBI and law-enforcement like to say, “if you have nothing to hide, why not testify?”.
Comey and his lawyer aren’t too smart. The argument against appearing in a closed hearing is bullshit and no judge will sustain it unless they are totally corrupt.
If anyone did any leaking from congressional hearings, closed or otherwise, it was the Democrats, esp. Rep. Adam ShitforBrains, Sen. Crooked Booker, etc.
A ‘closed’ door hearing (often called an “Executive Session”) is meant to do several things.
In my case, it was to protect me from physical retaliation by some very pissed off commies, to protect information sources and certain types of information that would not be made public in the published hearings on national security grounds and on the ground that it was “hearsay” (despite the serious security issues involved), etc.
It also had to due with a “release date” and “press embargo” release date.
In the case of Corrupt Comey, he wants to be able to take the Fifth in public as opposed to “in camera”, i.e. to grandstand himself as a persecuted innocent babe.
And this piece of shit was the head of the FBI. No wonder they got corrupted by the Democrats, esp. Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, both butt-buddies of Obama and Hillary.
It would be great if he were to be held in Contempt of Congress, indicted by a grand jury, and convicted. There are a lot of people in jail who’d like to see their “old friend” alone in a cell for a few reunion minutes.
Next, Andrew Weissman, Andrew McCabe, the adulterers Mika and Joe, oh sorry, Strzok-ing Page, and then the Ohrs.
Do to them what they did to America, but without vaseline.
James Comey could well be fighting treason charges IF his testimony comes to fruition...Mr. Comey is not above the law...
It goes beyond this.
Remember, Loretta Lynch has been subpoenaed as well. If Comey testifies in an open session, she will hear his testimony and can shape her answers to corroborate his. In a closed session, she won’t know what he said.
Further, he, as you said, cannot use the “national security” dodge as everyone involved has the correct security clearance. And finally, he knows in an open session the Dems and Republicans trade off after 5 minutes. He can pontificate when asked a question by the Republicans on the Committee and that is his end game.
Delay few more weeks and it will be forgotten.
They had 2 years to get all this done and wait until the last 3 weeks to make big deal out of it.....

Crooked Democrats know they have “friends” in the courts where the law is rewritten every day - for certain people. He would not do this unless he was assured of a favorable outcome. If I hear Roberts deny once more that we don’t have “Obama judges or Clinton judges”, I will..............scream.
