Federal agents Thursday raided two offices of a powerful Chicago alderman whose law firm represented President Trump for more than a decade, though it was not immediately clear whether the operation was related to the president.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that approximately 15 agents arrived at Edward Burke's office in Chicago City Hall with cardboard boxes at approximately 7:30 a.m. The paper reported that the agents asked everyone in the office to leave and taped brown paper over the windows. Another team of agents showed up at Burke's office in the city's 14th Ward and papered over the windows there. The Sun-Times reported that the agents left the ward office with a cardboard file box, a computer and two computer monitors...

Christmas shopping early, like Wally in Dilbert.
More prosecutorial extortion.
The goal of this is to isolate Trump as long as he remains in the presidency by making him radioactive for anyone to work with him in any capacity. They want accountants, lawyers, airplane pilots, Consultants, media specialist, Etc all to run away from him. This is totally corrupt.

It’s Chicago. Corruption runs in their blood. I don’t think this is PDJT related.
Another team of agents showed up at Burke’s office in the city’s 14th Ward and papered over the windows there.
...
Based on that I don’t think it’s Trump related. And Trump likes to use a lot of different lawyers depending on their specialty.
If it was Burke, there’s probably lots of non-Trump related stuff for them to be arresting him. He’s crooked as crooked can be and has been forever.
[and two computer monitors...]
Well, ya know, there’s a LOT of evidence with monitors.
They could have Post-It notes.
Guess they don’t have their own monitors.
Did anyone find a red stapler?
Is Maxine giving orders already ?
Monitors?
Did the ones in their own offices broken down or did they get the monitors just to make a bigger show for the press than just taking the hard drives would?
‘foir theoir co[[ectoioin’
is that Old or Middle English...?
If the Federal agents found a little Red Book in the office, they would have apologized, put everything dumped on the floor neatly back into the drawers, dusted off the desks and left with a “good day!”
“The goal of this is to isolate Trump as long as he remains in the presidency by making him radioactive for anyone to work with him in any capacity.”
Yup. It’s bad. Really bad
He’s said his keyboard is bad. I’m on a cheap one $3.99 that has seen better days. Still, he’s been doing that for a few days. It looks alarming, yes.
Klingon, dude.
“Its Chicago. Corruption runs in their blood.”
Agreed.
Burke is the most connected person in Chicago. His wife is an Illinois Supreme court justice. His brother is a congressman. He is head of the Chicago Finance Committee. He is also a lawyer in a firm that gets its way in the city, or it does not happen in the city. That is probably why Trump was able to build a tower on a landmark building plot which overhangs the Chicago River. In Chicago, Burke is more powerful than Rahm. Chicago only has two citizens with a complete 24/7 police escort wherever they go, the mayor and Burke.
But I would say there can be a 1000 reasons that Burke’s office was raided. Trump is just one.
There could be a thousand reasons that will never see a courtroom because of who he is. If they seriously try to take down Burke he will start naming names and his other clients include both Richard M. Daley and Mike Madigan. If Mueller REALLY wants to try to use Burke to get Trump, he’d better be ready to take on the entire Chicago democrat political machine, including The Outfit, to do so. I seriously think Mr. Tough Guy Prosecutor hasn’t thought this one the whole way through and is grasping for straws.
Simple solution: DECLASSIFY ALL DOCUMENTS that can harm the rats.
