A Texas mom is outraged after a Southwest Airlines worker made fun of her 5-year-old daughters name by snapping a picture of the girls boarding pass and posting it on social media.
Traci Redford, from El Paso, says the agent at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, began poking fun at her daughters name, Abcde pronounced ab-city as they boarded a flight a few weeks ago and put it online for users to shame the girl, who suffers from epilepsy.
The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So I turned around and said, Hey if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so Id appreciate if youd just stop,' Redford told KABC this week.
Redford said she only recently learned that the agent took a picture and put it online after a friend spotted it circulating on social media.
While I was sitting there, she took a picture of my boarding pass and chose to post it on social media, mocking my daughter, Redford said.

Woman names her child "Abcde" and is upset people think its funny.
I bet that stupid mom votes, too.
Can we make fun of her naming her kid “Abcde?”
Silly name, unprofessional behavior.
fresh out of the womb, that poor kid was already behind the a step behind the 8 ball. Way to go mom.
My thoughts exactly....posting it was silly and stupid.....social media is both.
I always thought it strange that some nations have rules on what you can name your children. Now I understand why such rules exist.
A name can be a powerful thing, it can either help or hurt a person as they make their way in life. Giving you child a name no one can pronounce or spell will cause that child nothing but problems their entire life.
” pronounced ‘ab-city’” Ummm, not to anyone that understands phonetics and how the English language is supposed to work.
I feel bad for the 5-year old.
The little girl doesn’t deserve to be mocked. Her parents, on the other hand, deserve to be tormented mercilessly for saddling their daughter with such an awful name.
Naming her kid that what was she expecting?
The itle girl needs to get used to be getting mocked. She'll face a lot of it in school.
I wish parents would think a little more before choosing a name for their kids. I have a young woman in my class named Princess Leah. That is her first name. Every time I call her name she’s looking away while the other kids laugh.
What a foolish mother, and I don’t see what the girl’s epilepsy has to do with this.
Then she goes to the media to complain about the name being publicized. I see a GoFundMe in her future, to help with the child’s “pain and suffering”.
What is the matter with this woman? Is she brain dead?or what.
Why would you give your child a name that he or she would have difficulty spelling, reading or pronouncing.
Nothing like putting obstacles in front of your childs future growth.
What a dummy.
Evil woman who intentionally set her child up for ridicule for the rest of her life. She knew what she was doing when she signed the BC. Evil. Evil. That poor child will constantly have to jump through hoops to prove that’s her name. Maybe she has a decent middle name she can go by.
I don’t think it’s funny, I think it’s cruel. Giving your children stupid names because you think you are being original and unique makes you a thoughtless and cruel dumbass parent.
Words have meaning, especially names. Giving your kid a meaningless name introduces a chain of unfortunate assumptions, observations and events into their life. Just so mom could feel clever and trendy.
DUMBASS NAME!! DUMBASS MOTHER!! WHERE IS The father...
