The only way to save the planet is to put out the sun.

Jim is absolutely right. We should save him and send him on a rocket ship. Destination: Pluto

I wonder who gave the order for this ramped up climate change offensive we’ve been subject to lately?

You would rather freeze?

Say, don’t all these climate change folks believe in evolution, too?

What are they so worried about?

Life will simply evolve to adapt to the environment.

Problem solved.

“I just want to ask the question for folks at home, folks like us. We got kids. We don’t want to be slowly burned to death on our own planet here," said Sciutto, who served in the Obama State Department prior to coming to CNN. "Is the human race running - in the simplest terms running out of time to take the measures necessary to rein in this rise in global temperatures?"

Same thing was said before the last ice ages.

LOL! I kill me sometimes.

'We don’t want to be slowly burned to death'

Hmmm... A napalm enema can be arranged to help prevent that...

We very well could be entering another 400yrs of Maunder Minimum, as early as 2025, due to a paucity of sunspots. The globe will cool, not heat-up. When the Thames and NY Harbor freeze solid, crops won’t grow, etc, they’ll still blame it on global warming.

There was an earlier article on FR, a few days ago, about the coming Mini-Ice-Age.

Here it is:

And another earlier this month:

There is not enough carbon on Earth in combustible form to make enough CO2 to cause temperature rises such that we could be “slowly burned to death”. It is unlikely we could, no matter how hard we tried, even get back to a climate similar to that which the dinosaurs enjoyed (except maybe at the very end of their reign.)

Notably, the era of the dinosaurs was QUITE favorable to life on Earth... ...unless some of the other life ate you, of course, but needing to avoid being eaten is, historically, usually the case.

In a few billion years the sun will expand to a red giant stage and will completely envelop the earth. Those will be REALLY hot days, but don’t tell CNN...they couldn’t handle it.

I’m not worried about being burned to death. I’m more concerned about burning AFTER death.

What's the change in temperature flying from St. Paul in early September, to Phoenix?

Not burning to death, yet. Except for teh Stupid, *it* burns.
