Moreover, as we also know, the gentrification of the cities has actually made these places more liberal and more Democratic. Yes, in a complete inversion from the past pattern, the Democrats are now the party of the rich. Thats why, in 2016, nine of the ten richest states voted for Hillary Clinton, while nine of the ten poorest states voted for Donald Trump.
The enrichment of the Democrats was even more pronounced in the voting this year: In First Things, Williams College political scientist Darel E. Paul points out that of the 66 richest Congressional districts in the country, the Democrats now control 56 of them...
Republicans had better figure out an effective responseand right quick. After all, in the 2018 midterms, the GOP not only lost at least 38 seats in the House, but also lost the nationwide popular vote by almost eight points...
So if the cities, and now the suburbs, are increasingly Democratic, leaving Republicans dominant only in small towns and rural areas, perhaps the solution is to...

The article is quite a bit longer, but it is very interesting and insightful with some references. Important strategy stuff, especially for leaders. To get the big picture, follow the link.
The Democrats are using mail in and provisional ballots to steal races.
We need to stop that.
It may take much more than that. One detailed answer is behind the link. The article flows and is easy to read. Sorry it had to be excerpted as per copyright and excerpt policy.
Good article. John B. Calhoun found the explanation for the red-blue divide (population density), but he never proposed a solution to it. Rural development is the only thing that can slow the demographic collapse.
Rich and Commie RED. Need to stop with this Orwellian newspeak colors.
Thanks familyop. Advocating (in California, and New York) a giant, graduated property tax increase (IOW, a much higher rate, but only on 2nd homes as is done here in Michigan, and on homes with a much higher value than moost can afford) would be a nice start, and shaming a-holes who complain about it, like the entertainment industry nitwits and corrupt, mostly Demwit politicians, would be done while trying to get it passed and spread throughout the country -- so there's nowhere to hide or to move their sorry asses into redder states -- and sell it as race vs race. That should take care of it for the time being, and shatter the "party of consensus", the Demagogic Party.
Good article.
Copy and paste the rest of it, as a comment.

That’s because the best way to get rich in America today is to tap into the vast river of money and power controlled by government.
The rich have figured out how to harness the votes of the poor to wage financial war on the middle class. It’s genius really. Evil genius but genius none the less. The rich have everything but votes so they convince the poor to vote for their bought and paid for politicians (Obama for example) who then proceed to drain the middle class while filling the coffers of the rich. Get the middle class to pay for it all, crush them at the same time, and get richer in the process. The rich gain more money and power, the poor get their welfare, and the middle class gets sucked dry paying for it.
I cannot speak for the rest of the country, but here in Maryland and in nearby Northern Virginia, the wealthy counties and Congressional Districts are the ones with a high proportion of government employees, and the civilian cohorts (such as lobbyists) which depend on the presence of the government agencies for their employment. Naturally, the people in those districts vote for their economic interests.
Balderdash!
Do not believe Statist articles you read.
Abraham Lincoln did
the Homestead Act, the Pacific Railroad Act, the Morrill Act, establishing public land-grant colleges, the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The latter three are all Big Government programs. Farmers REJECTED Government schools because children had superior private learning. And an AG Dept. favors not rural voters, but big business instead.
Only the Homestead Act returned OWNERSHIP to the people who vote.
Republicans, ignore Statist enemy written articles as this. Instead just halt Election Fraud and return personal ownership to people, as the people do the voting.
Republican’s doom is in embracing the Chamber of Commerce because Democrats have out foxed them on Big Business.
Big Business has ZERO election votes.
Democrats have FRAUD votes.
Guess who wins?
That's a meaningless number if the largest state, California, uses a "jungle" primary system and the two highest primary vote winners are on the November ballot. If it's not even possible to vote for a Republican, the numbers can't be conflated with other states that have two party choices.
(Also, the Democrats lost 63 House seats under Obama in 2010. I don't remember reading "Democrats had better figure out an effective responseand right quick.")
Ping. Great message, well-researched. Rural vs. urban becomes the battleground. It’s a rallying cry.

Have an alternative minimum tax based on net worth.
This writeup has some grains of truth mixed in with a lot of fiction resulting in an inaccurate portrait pf the social pond.
The five richest counties in the USA all are geo-adjacent to Washington DC. Of course, this population is almost wholly government connected. Those in government have livelihoods and retirement plans linked to a continued uninterrupted gravy train of government largesse meted out to them. They do not think of, they are oblivious to, the staggering federal debt and deficits that form the foundation of their affluence. As long as Treasury trades paper and digits with the money manufacturing ability of the Federal Reserve, their security is assured.
The DC government population is wholly owned by the large government corruption commandeered by the Democrat Party. They buy off, bribe, enrich Republicans they need for votes and power. Paul Ryan was penniless when he entered Congress, today he is worth more than 12 million. Pelosi was upper middle class when she arrived in Congress. Today she is worth more than 100 million.
The corruption is very deep.
In order to assure the continuation of political power and its attendant money streams of graft, the Democrat Party has resorted to promoting a new voting block of immigrants. This is clear when overlaying a map of illegals with democrat blue districts. The blue areas align near perfectly with known locations of illegals.
USSA bump for later....
Let’s see. . .40 Rinos retired and only 38 were replaced by professed Democrats. . .sounds like a net gain of two to me ;)
