THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION
During my second month of night school, our professor gave a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Obviously this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count on our quiz grade. "Absolutely," said the professor. "In your lives, in your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her first name was Dorothy.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Is the weather letting you and Penny get out and about?
Right now it’s cold, but supposed to be rain by morning...and for a couple days. I really am tired of this rain stuff in winter. I HATE ICE!!

The Choir is in good shape - our numbers are reduced from former years, but the musicianship, the spirit, and the dedication to our Ministry all endure.
I will not be singing tomorrow - we're under a tight deadline at work - our client is testifying before a Federal grand jury Tuesday morning. I will attend the early Mass at 0730 and drive in to the office thereafter.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.<
On another note, I have for many years engaged the people in my life who serve in what many deem to be lowly roles. They deserve no less as children of God, and I was once in their position. My first job was as a porter at Montgomery Ward. I have never forgotten it, nor will I.

"I VOW TO THEE, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace."

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!
Amazing Grace (Click)
By John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine.
When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

Federal Grand Jury...YIKES! Conjures up bad thoughts these days.
There are those that have no clue that ALL jobs are necessary to make just about anything work correctly...I get ticked off really quickly with those that talk down about “the janitor” or “she’s just the secretary”. Try to get along without either.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
|
Gen. George Washington and his Troops Marching To Valley Forge December 1777 |
GEORGE WASHINGTON RECEIVES VISION OF AMERICA'S FUTURE FROM ANGELIC MESSENGER.
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have seved, many of whom have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Howdy, LUV.
Did the weather turn out to be as nice as you hoped?
It stayed cloudy here until late afternoon so we didn’t get as warm as predicted. Still not too bad though.
