This flirtation with the idea of a Democratic bloodbath over the House speakership was fun. I admit; a little part of me was hoping for a slog. It would’ve been a moment of shattered unity for the new Democratic House before the new sessions officially began. And I would have loved to see what Donald Trump would’ve have said, or done, to get Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) the votes she would have needed if she fell short. Right now, some 16 or so House Democrats have formed a Never Nancy wing, adamant that they will not support her speakership bid. It held for a few days, but its collapsed. Rep. Marcia Fudge(D-OH), a potential alternative candidate, jumped ship, as did anothersupposed Never Pelosi Democrat, Brian Higgins. This little game is over, and Pelosi is probably going to get that gavel back. While this challenge was emanating from some new incoming members, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York Representative who has no clue how to pay for her Medicare for All scheme, said Nancy could count on her support (via The Hill):
Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) endorsed House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for Speaker on Wednesday, saying that Pelosi "can count on my support."
"All the challenges to Leader Pelosi are coming from her right, in an apparent effort to make the party even more conservative and bent toward corporate interests," Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.
"Hard pass. So long as Leader Pelosi remains the most progressive candidate for Speaker, she can count on my support."
The endorsement from Ocasio-Cortez, a high-profile incoming progressive Democrat, is the latest sign of broad momentum for Pelosi's bid to retake her Speaker position in the new Congress.
Five incoming members had joined a total of 16 House Democrats in signing a letter to colleagues last week urging a change in leadership.
One of those lawmakers to sign onto the letter, Rep. Brian Higgins (D-N.Y.), reversed his opposition and endorsed Pelosi on Wednesday.
It’s better this way, folks. Nancy as the face of the Democratic Party again, with an agenda that is so far left, coupled with politically motivated and utterly worthless House investigations that end up nowhere—Christmas has come early. And Trump will have the perfect ‘do-nothing Congress’ punching bag to pummel on the campaign trail in 2020, along with whomever the Democrats pick to run against him.

Someone talked to the Young Commie. Pity.
How high can AOC count?
I doubt very high.
It was over when Fudge stood down. Give Nancy her crown.
Hard not to admire her brutal political skill, too bad we don’t have someone like her.
Shes on her way to becoming a millionaire!
Nancy must have arranged for some affordable DC housing for Ms. AOC.
One-percent-Cortez!
So can Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot.
I’d have liked to be ‘a fly on the wall’ there at that little meeting when Nanzi introduced AOC to reality.
The teeth don’t bother me as much as her eyes do. That steering look gives me the creeps
So... they’ve had “The Talk”, and Nancy saying, “That’s a pretty little puppy you have there. It would be a shame if something happened to her”. Didn’t take long.
Owned already and not even sworn in.
If she was an older white woman with the same exact message spewing out of her mouth, she would have never been elected.
Alexandria needs to realize that no one voted for her because of her intellect.
Its amazing. Id like to understand whether their insiufferable self righteousness makes them rationalize that its ok to sell out. Surely she knows shes a sell out, right? But sell out she did, even before taking office she sold out. Amazing
Not just a whore, but a cheap whore.
It’s that the American people vote for stalemate even though they claim to want unity of purpose.
I am sure you meant the House of Representatives, as Congress consist of two Houses. Which are the Senate and the House of Reps
I think Nancy’s First Budget will be insane ,LOL
