I suspect border shut downs really annoy some Mexicans near the border - those who own businesses that depend on shipping stuff across the border (legally or illegally).
If the shut downs due to migrants interfere enough with the other businesses there will be a lot of pressure in Mexico to solve the problem.

the residual concern i have is what about security for american citizens crossing back into the us and becoming trapped by violent rioting caravan mobs while waiting in the queue...
