FULL TITLE: Trump slanders (Muslim Brotherhood member and terror apologist) Khashoggi and betrays American values
PRESIDENT TRUMP on Tuesday confirmed what his administration has been signaling all along: It will stand behind Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman even if he ordered the brutal murder and dismemberment of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. In a crude statement punctuated with exclamation points, Mr. Trump sidestepped a CIA finding that the crown prince was behind the killing; casually slandered Mr. Khashoggi, who was one of the Arab worlds most distinguished journalists; and repeated gross falsehoods and exaggerations about the benefits of the U.S. alliance with the kingdom. Mr. Trump has betrayed American values in service to what already was a bad bet on the 33-year-old prince.
As with Russian President Vladimir Putins interference in the 2016 election, Mr. Trump is justifying his affinity for a brutal and reckless leader by disregarding the findings of the U.S. intelligence community. The Post reported Friday that the CIA has concluded with high confidence a rating it does not apply lightly that Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder of Mr. Khashoggi, who while living in self-imposed exile in Virginia, wrote columns for The Post that were moderately critical of the crown prince.
Mr. Trumps response is to grudgingly acknowledge that it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event before adding maybe he did and maybe he didnt! He declares the truth unknowable and thus irrelevant: We may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder.

The Washington Post is starting to sound eerily like the Pol Pot regime or the North Korean Central News Agency.
Would the post have spent even a hundredth as much time holding Obama accountable as much as they do attacking Trump.
Coz I dont recall the Post saying squat when Obama supported Erogan or the Suadenese terrorists.
There’s nothing to wild and crazy to print when libeling Trump is the goal.
Does anyone take CIA findings seriously anymore?
The agency needs to be disbanded, Brennan has permanently damaged it.
I’m curios as to why this is bigger than Daniel Pearl’s beheading?
Because Trump was making headway with the Saudi reforms and they can’t allow him to succeed at it.
U right, CIA needs disbanned
Osama bin Laden’s biggest mistake as a terrorist was not writing columns for the Washington Post first.
I can’t believe the fuss they are making over this guy just to make Trump look bad. From all the uproar, you’d think POTUS himself had just clubbed Santa Claus to death in front of Macy’s or something important like that.
They were running guns to Islamic jihadis, for Pete’s sake.......
Until then the Editorial Board needs to know the percentage of reporters working for American Newspapers who are murdered is way below the world's average ...
Jamal Khashoggi : Osama Bin Ladens friend.
Jamal Khashoggi was closely connected to Prince Turki al Faisal... and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Jamal Khashoggi was around during the original days of al Qaedas creation, knew how all the Islamic charities were set up and how al Qaeda funds moved around the world,
Isn’t it interesting that liberals are silent about the Palestinian government killing Jews, but are ‘upset’ at the Khashoggi killing.
The Washington Post slanders Trump and betrays American values.
Not going to lose any sleep over what did or didn't happen to this non U.S. citizen who was a member of a terrorist organization.
The compost loves the muslim brotherhood and sharia law (same thing).
“No nation has allies. Only interests’’.- Napoleon.
Lets start from the beginning. He wasn’t a “journalist”.
