I’m glad your family will be getting together for the holiday. That always makes it better.

We’re always alone so we go to the cafeteria so we don’t spend the day working on food prep. Hubby does do grilled steaks and the trimmings for Christmas. [He hates turkey. LOL]

He actually came by around noon yesterday which allowed us to head out to the lake at our usual time. he had a couple of people cancel so that allowed him to arrive earlier than the late afternoon time that was planned.

We had a great visit to the lake.

Papyas meant to be papayas. *sigh* It was late at night - - that’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ with it. :-)

I never heard of them being called pawpaws before, and I’m a southern gal. Guess there isn’t enough “southern” in me. LOL

Prickly pears, yes. They are delicious! But you’d better wear steel-tipped gloves when ya pick ‘em!
