"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace noted during a discussion with the president that William McRaven has said Trump's attacks on the media are the "greatest threat to democracy in his lifetime."
Trump in response called McRaven a "Hillary Clinton fan" and "Obama-backer."
"Wouldn’t it have been nice if we got Osama bin Laden a lot sooner than that, wouldn’t it have been nice?" Trump asked. "You know, living — think of this — living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don’t know, I’ve seen nicer. But living in Pakistan right next to the military academy, everybody in Pakistan knew he was there."
"You’re not even going to give them credit for taking down bin Laden?" Wallace asked.
"They took him down but — look, look, there’s news right there, he lived in Pakistan, we’re supporting Pakistan, we’re giving them $1.3 billion a year, which we don’t give them anymore, by the way, I ended it because they don’t do anything for us, they don’t do a damn thing for us," Trump responded.
"I’m totally in favor of the media, I’m totally in favor of free press, got to be fair press," he added.

Trump is right. We were paying Pakistan to hide Osama bin Laden.
It didn’t take the SEALs to take bin Laden. He was in our crosshairs many times. Someone wanted a show.
Maybe if this guy had the press going after him with a million fake stories every day he might change his mind.
Bin Laden, the guy we supposedly dumped in the ocean?
And, from what I have read, Panetta had to threaten Obama with leaking the truth, that we had bin Laden many times and Obama wouldn’t give the go-ahead. That’s the only reason it finally happened.

McRaven was promoted by Obama, which tells you all you need to know about the man. He organized and oversaw the operation. He didn’t lead it, because he wasn’t there.
Balance of power goes both ways. The press could use a little house cleaning. First of all the claim of being neutral is a lie. Making up news is not good either.

More than one account has had Osama in sight only to be told to back off. Considering we had Pakistan by the short and curlies, there was no need for a night raid. Someone had some toys they wanted to use.
