~ GIVING THANKS ~

Psalm 92:1 - 5

1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

2 To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep."

Psalm 95:1 - 6

1 "O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker."

Psalm 100:1-5

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Hey there, Kathy.

Yes, a little sad about the museum being closed for winter but it did feel good to sleep my normal hours. LOL

Did your weather turn out as nasty as they said it would today? If so, I hope you didn’t need to go anywhere.

We had a gorgeous day but it will cool off a bit again tomorrow. Still not as bad as it could be this time of year so no complaints.

I awoke early, couldn’t go back to sleep, so dragged me and my blankie to the lounger and just closed my eyes for an hour (no sleep...*sigh*). Then chose to take the whole morning off and watch college football. d:o)

Dang the luck! It sux waking up early when you don’t need to. At least you had a nice, lazy morning in front of the tube.

I didn’t do much today. Made a run to the new Publix in Tullahoma to get some food items I can’t get anywhere else these days and that was it for excitement. Big day! LOL

yes...today was great. Partly cloudy, 44 degrees, mushy trail, but not too bad. It may have been the last hike of the season, but I hope not.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Was the day as nice as you expected so you and Gizmo could enjoy your time at the lake?

It was a nice day here but tonight is a bit chilly and REALLY foggy.

Nice day yesterday. Saw some people on the golf course. It’s windy and cool this morning.

Never left the house...still need to go to the mailbox.

Overcast, a sprinkle here and there, and above freezing all day.

AJ texted this morning, he got home Tuesday, but has to be back this coming Wednesday...no Thanksgiving at home, to start a 3 week job at Alyeska Pump Station 3.

They are in Brunswick, GA looking for a place to take Gypsy. He thinks they've found a place for a possible late January move to Morningside Marina on Lanier Island. I need to google it.

My Dad was at Pump Station 1 when the first drop of oil went into the pipeline, and he and my Mom were in Valdez when that first oil got there.

LOL! Those golfers know their greens days are numbered and will take advantage of any nice day that comes around. It won’t be long before their clubs are bagged for a few months.

I guess we’ll have your winds through here sometime tomorrow as the cold front gets closer. No wind just yet and that’s allowing thick fog from the lake to sit on us.

Wow, you really DID have a kicked-back day. Didn’t even check the mail. LOL! Bet it felt good, huh?

Dang! Poor AJ. They could have let him spend Thanksgiving at home after he’s been gone so long. Seems that a couple more days wouldn’t have shut them down.

Brunswick isn’t too far north of the GA/FL state line. Lanier Island looks like a pretty good place for Gypsy being nestled in a river.

Whew, when you’ve said AJ works up-slope, you really meant UP. I didn’t realize he worked that far north. And if you’ve mentioned your dad did the same kind of work, I’ve forgotten. No surprise there with my rotten memory. LOL!

Good Morning Kathy! (((HUGS))) Yep, done for the year. Some cancelled flights to SF an Sacto because of the heavy smoke so I did jump flights Saturday and some today. I like to split my time with the other pilot so we both make out.

"I VOW TO THEE, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace."
