A federal judge on Friday granted CNN's request for a court order that would temporarily reinstate network correspondent Jim Acosta's White House press pass, which had been suspended indefinitely in the wake of a fiery exchange between the reporter and President Donald Trump a week earlier.
The ruling from Judge Timothy Kelly, who was appointed by Trump, was a first victory for CNN in the ongoing case.

The fifth amendment:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Since no crime was committed how does the judge’s opinion have any standing and therefore why is the judge not the problem?
It is high time these boneheaded judges get publicly ridiculed and shamed for obvious activism.
Instead of lamenting over these things, a coordinated plan should be put in place to embarrass judges at all levels. Frankly, that is the only thing that will keep them in check.
Nothing else seems to work.
Let him back in. AND NEVER CALL ON HIM.
Three branches of government.
Tell judge Kelly to go pound sand.
Or even better, tell him to enforce his ruling.

The judges in question are not boneheaded
The judges in question are leftist political aparatchicks. They are political animals intent on carrying out the destruction of America.
Fighting with out destroying them is losing the war
I guess the judge can restore his press pass but does that mean they have to let him in?
I mean, could acosta march in and pull down his pants and just because he has that pass card they have to let him stay?
I’ll bet Secret Service doesn’t let him in, at least I hope so.
Acosta doesnt get called on.
If the actual owner of record comes in and tried to unilaterally evict you, guess which basic principle comes into play? Yeah, you guessed it, the 5A due process clause.
The mistake Trump made was to implicitly (or explicitly) adhere to long established WH principles by honoring long standing ** pre-existing ** press passes. As such, those passes became very valuable and important 'assets' the pass holders - both individuals and organizations. Once granted/held, property - virtual or real - cannot be unilaterally revoked with due process aka hearing, arbitration and/or trial.
This is an incredibly simple concept to understand. It's also a huge win for Trump if anyone cares to step back and consider the ramifications. For one, the WH can now establish rules of conduct and standards for behavior. Violate those terms of use, and the holder can be suspended, revoked and/or ejected.
Really people, having a basic understanding of your very own constitution should be a basic prerequisite.
SO, just NO press conferences at al!?
That would make a point.
Just the impromptus before boarding the copter.
Courts are not only to process criminal cases, but also to settle dispute cases. This was a dispute case, not a criminal case. 8>)
Ignore this. Can has been kicked down the road. Administration lawyers will file an appeal and the next level will kick the can down the road until it finally gets to SCOTUS.
SCOTUS will look at this, have a good laugh and vote 5-4 against CNN.
Meanwhile, Trump should cancel all press conferences until this is resolved.
Of course, if the Secret Service says no, is the judge going to send federal Marshalls after them.
Please take a moment to read post 25 which speaks to your point and eloquently explains why Jeff Chandler is "part of the problem."
-—vote 5-4 against CNN.——
Au Contraire mi Amigo....... the vote will be 5-3
Do not take questions from CNN, period.
Hi.
Everything you posted is true, but has no relevance to the current scenario.
Jim Acosta, and every other reporter is granted access to the White House by the President.
Do you think they possess anything in the White House? Would you grant an easement from Pennsylvania Ave to the West wing of the White House? Or a right of way?
This has nothing to do with the 5th Amendment. Or the First amendment for that matter.

Of course Trump can continue to bar entry, but that opens him and the WH up to a series of civil suits.
I'll try once more to get through to some: an asset, whether a slave, property, idea and or access pass, cannot be unilaterally seized and/or denied. It's why slavery couldn't be outlawed and the slaves freed until the 13A was adopted.
Likewise, no one, not the president or anyone else, can unilaterally take from anyone else a key, important asset once ownership had been granted/assumed/established. Trump's very actions by honoring pre-existing press passes, and in fact, allowing Acostus to speak and ask questions, is evidence of his very own ratification.
The solution, which by the way is incredibly simple, is to merely establish a set of guidelines, rules of conduct, and standards of behavior. Trump can revoke all existing passes and grant new ones - including those to the general public - with stipulations that the rules must be followed, or the holder will be subject to suspension, revocation and/or ejection.
Easy solution, stop having the dog and pony shows called conference and just have press releases.
Lets see how they accept that.
You should really try and understand these concepts. It's how our system works.
