At 29 years old, U.S. Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be the youngest woman ever in Congress, but her first few days as an elected official have come with challenges some of which have nothing to do with politics. As Capitol Hill holds orientation meetings this week, the incoming congresswoman said on Twitter that people keep mistaking her for an intern or someone's spouse.
**SNIP**
"People keep giving me directions to the spouse and intern events instead of the ones for members of Congress," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Wednesday.
When a critic pointed out there were no scheduled intern events that day, she offered a sharp response.
"Last night I was stopped bc it was assumed I was an intern/staffer," she tweeted back. "Next time try believing women + people of color when they talk about their experiences being a woman or person of color."

So they think more highly of her than I do.
I wouldn’t call her an intern, another word comes to mind.
All of the interns are women and minority??
She does have a pretty sturdy set of chompers on her. I’ll give her that.
You weren’t stopped b/c u were a woman+person of color. You were stopped because you’re a goofy looking kid who seems lost. That, you can believe.
When it finally gets down to having to actually DO the job I suspect she is gonna get exposed for what she really is and is gonna get her butt kicked.
LOL, of course.
That aspect of men, whether subjugated and repressed as normal, responsible men would do, or embraced and indulged in, and men like Bill Clinton would do, certainly does exist.
Of course, they have probably don’t give much moral or critical thought to their indulgence, and have never watched (or absorbed) movies like “Fatal Attraction” or “Disclosure”, and THOSE are the guys who “get their tires slashed, a bunny in the pot, or end up in jail”!
Eventually...
All of the interns are women and minority??

If they’re RATS, yes.
The RAT party has no use for the gender or skin color of the people who founded the country, produced 99% of the world’s music and art and invented virtually everything they use on a daily basis.
Like the Kardashians, famous for being famous.
But a far more refined sense of entitlement.
It’s easier to get elected than to get hired.
I would never mistake her for an intern. Most interns are pretty smart.
One week and Already with this discrimination shyte??
Nuke her from orbit, it is the only way that you can be sure lol...
Airhead...
What I think about, every time I see a headline with her name in it, is these two things:
1. She will be comedy gold for two years.
2. She will serve one term. Not because of the republicans, but because of the democrats.
And to be honest, I would not be surprised if the democrats offed her, as they are known to do quite a bit. They will only suffer her lunacy for so long. Either she will suddenly and oddly “shut up”, or something will probably happen to her. Mark my words.
I find it a little hard to believe. The media wont stop talking about her and a town like DC is glued to the media.
“Next time try believing women + people of color when they talk about their experiences being a woman or person of color”
The GOP should vote for her to be speaker.
You can already see it ... implicit in her comment is that interns and staffers are nobodies, and she's a somebody.
Among 4 billion other reasons, this is why socialism and other forms the people's tyranny and mankind are incompatible. Mankind is and always will be made up of about 25% scammers like this one, and when given power, they will self hypnotize into exactly what they claimed they hated in about 3 seconds, because they really always wanted to be exactly what they claimed to hate.
I hope you are wrong. I want her in office forever. I am gonna get so much free stuff now and if I need something I can’t afford I will like just like pay for it, you know??
Poor baby.
I hope you are wrong. I want her in office forever.
