U.S. Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is demanding that the U.S. commit to shifting 100% of its energy consumption to renewable energy in ten years as part of a “Green New Deal” she is demanding party leaders support.
Politico reported Thursday that Ocasio-Cortez, the “democratic socialist” from New York’s 14th congressional district, is demanding that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi back her demand for 100% renewables as a price for support in the Democratic Party’s leadership struggle.
Incoming liberals, led by Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, are demanding Pelosi go beyond her promise to revive a select committee on global warming; they want her and the rest of the Democratic Caucus to back an ambitious plan to transition the economy to 100 percent renewable energy in a little more than a decade.
But the party’s chairmen-in-waiting are pushing back on the idea that even a new select committee would be necessary, arguing that the existing Energy and Commerce, Natural Resources, Transportation and Science committees have the tools they need to address climate change.

It’s been many years since I have been in college but she reminds me so much of the liberal know it all women I would encounter.
They had all the answers and the ideas but were actually not terribly bright. Still, they believed every ounce of nonsense that came out of their mouths.
At the rate she is going I don’t think she will live to get re-elected. She’s a lose cannon and she thinks that standing up to the leadership in her party will win her votes back home. The woman is not just stupid she is suicidal.
How about chaining her to a bicycle hooked to a generator that is linked to the grid. As long as she pedals and creates electricity she gets fed, how much is based upon the number of kilowatt hours of electricity she produces every day.

Liberals could start by refusing to use electricity, “fossil fuels”, CO2 spewing wood burning stoves and fireplaces. Then they could give up any product that had evil plastics in them that were derived from oil. Since they claim that discarded plastic from American landfills are somehow getting into the oceans... it is doubly important that they give up plastic. Since steel producers use coal, natural gas and electric arc furnaces, they should also not use products with steel. And do not even get me started on aluminum... think of all the electricity made by fossil fuels used to produce aluminum. They also should not use wood products because that involves cutting down precious trees.
If liberals managed to do even half that, most of them would die and we wouldn’t have to worry about their BS anymore. MY wife says Amen to that.
Nah, start with something simple like personal hovercraft capable of Mach 1.
