(CNN)Lawyers for CNN and the Trump administration are awaiting an initial ruling on the network's federal lawsuit over press access to the White House.
And they're going to have to wait a little while longer. Judge Timothy J. Kelly heard nearly two hours of oral arguments about CNN's request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on Wednesday. Then he said court would reconvene Thursday at 3 p.m.
But on Thursday afternoon, he rescheduled the next hearing for Friday at 10 a.m.

No court...including the US Supreme Court...has a right to tell the White House who they can give press passes to or not.

Agree, I don’t like the look of this postponement.

Should have been an automatic. Case Dismissed with Prejudice. CNN lawyers sanctioned and must pay all court costs and legal costs of the government in this case.

It doesn’t take an extra day to say no.

If they rule that way Alex Jones should demand one. That should tie our entire Federal court system in knots for the next thirteen years.

Why?
It’s straightforward without their arguments

Good. There is no emergency here. There never was an emergency.
This allows for additional civilized White House press conferences to be held without that flaming @sshole Acosta disrupting things as usual.
Hey Little Jimmy PeePee Pants, better stock up on those hospital grade Depends! And please change them regularly, you smell like sh*t.

I don’t get this whole Acosta thing. “Freedom of the Press” means reporters can say what they want (within limits) without fear of prosecution. It has nothing to do with providing them access of any sort.

I am looking for the part of the constitution that vests executive power in district court judges
To: dp0622
Yeah but not how you think. Many feel this will be resolved in CNN’s favor very quickly.
