Gloom- Despair- And Agony On Me;
Deep Dark Depression- Excessive Misery;
If it weren’t for bad luck- I’d have no luck at all;
Gloom- Despair- And Agony On Me...

“Yesterday, when I was young
The taste of life was sweet
Like rain upon my tongue.....”

That song still in my memory after all these years.

RIP

I remember when Roy was selling these on the tube. It had those stickers that you placed on the fretboard to know what finger to use.

I've spent years on and off trying to find the lyrics for Think Summer.

The song's easy to find but it ends in a stanz with a carnival barker or snake oil salesman doing his thing and nobody even tries to put those lyrics down.

Doesn't matter. I enjoy listening to the song and seeing if I can figure it out.

Big talent gone.

One of the saddest, most beautiful songs, “Yesterday, When I was Young,” by Roy Clark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-DtHBQrQn8

One recurring episode on Hee Haw was Grandpa and Roy laying down in front of the cabin conversing (while some of the girls on the porch “listened” in the background).

My FAVORITE skit of this went something like this:

Grandpa: “Roy, did you ever learn how to swim?”

Roy: “Yep! My daddy took me out in the boat in the middle of the lake and throwed me over the side.”

Grandpa: “Well how did you do??”

Roy: “After I got out of the gunny sack, I did just fine...”
