Brilliant guitar player. Oddly enough grew up for the most part in New York City. RIP.

One of my favorite performers. An all round good guy.
Here's one of my favorite songs of his: Thank God and Greyhound.

Man, first Stan Lee and now Roy Clark. TOUGH week!
To: rdl6989
I saw a Hee-Haw clip featuring C.W. McCall. I think Roy Clark might have been in it. That was quite a show. Probably one of the best shows of all time.

Checked the IMDB and he’d have been 85 years old, so while we can feel that good bit sad to see him go, that is still a fairly ripe age to have lived to, even for today. BTW, someone on YouTube has uploaded a bunch of Hee Haw episodes from the 1969 to about 1973 or 1974 period that have Don Rich and Stringbean in them. You wonder why TNN really did not show these episodes when they re ran the show frequently back in the 1990s (possibly because of the tragic circumstances surrounding both of those I named).

He was a great guitar player...and I don't care what anyone says Hee Haw was a great show. I still watch it on YouTube.
Could you imagine what the left would do today if someone else tried to do that desk clerk from the Empty Arms Hotel bit?
RIP Roy. I always liked "Thank God and Greyhound You're Gone".
