Rep. Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) ascended to the top job in House Republican leadership on Wednesday, while Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) followed in her father’s footsteps by taking the party’s No. 3 spot.

McCarthy prevailed over Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) 159-43, according to the House press gallery, while Cheney was elected by voice vote.

Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) is stepping down at the end of his term in January. That opened up the top spot in House Republican leadership, which following the GOP’s defeat in last week’s midterms will be House Minority Leader.

If this is the Trump Economy, the Trump stock market, the Trump foreign policy, the Trump Trade and border policy, then why do we get the Boehner, Ryan acolyte retread Kevin “I will fund the wall before I die” McCarthy?????

We didn’t elect Trump for all these Ryanos

Amen to that. We should be entering a Post-Ryan era instead of honoring his backstabbing double tongue style of politics by electing a clone.

“..The Stupid Party strikes again....”

The cowardly party strikes again. Keeping the RINOs in play to take care of the RINOs that live in FEAR of the MSM. And that fear far outweighs any care for the country and the people that put them there...

About 40 - 50 more house seats now scheduled to be lost to the marxists in 2020...

So, guess it will be the same-o same-o getting nothing conservative done. When you lose like we did in the mid-terms, you need leadership change and apparently the 159 RHINOs who voted for McCarthy are too stupid to understand that.

McCarthy is Ryan redux. He ran commercials about funding the wall. He had no intention of funding the wall. We will now see what a House majority can do (even if their party does not have the Senate or Presidency). People will be going to jail for unrelated or manufactured crimes (like Manafort).

Republican Kevin McCarthy Voted to Lead Minority…

Posted on  by

The GOPe big club know how to control political outcomes.  During internal party elections today current republican Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who failed to keep a republican majority, was approved by a vote of 159-43 to become the new 2019 minority leader.  It is likely McCarthy will be successful in retaining the GOPe minority.

California Republican Kevin McCarthy was challenged by Ohio Republican Jim Jordan, but overwhelmingly McCarthy was seen by House republicans as the more moderate, less controversial, representative.  The House is now positioned to play the preferred role of loyal opposition when the flags change color amid the spire of the UniParty House.

There’s an irony in McCarthy elevating to the Minority Leadership role within the same election cycle that sees Dave Brat defeated in Virginia and Paul Ryan retiring from congress.  Brat defeated Eric Cantor, the former GOPe Majority Leader; stunning the GOPe leadership (Boehner, Ryan, Cantor and McCarthy) and derailing Wall Street’s 2014 open-border GOPe immigration agenda. [Cantor-primaried ’14; Boehner-retired ’16; Ryan-retired ’18; and now the lone McCarthy takes control.]

Biggest Winners:  Tom Donohue, Rupert Murdoch and the Koch Brothers.

George Carlin - The big club

McCarthy is a 61% conservative to Jordan's 80% Heritage has McCarthy at 41% conservative vs.  Jordan's 98%!! (The links to those sites and Gradegov will be found below.) And McCarthy has some baggage the left will be sure to drag out if he goes for the job:  He was banging a female member of the House while both of them were married! THE place that I trust MOST for that information is www.thenewamerican.com/freedom-index Two others are: www.gradegov.com AND https://heritageaction.com/scorecard/membersManage

Only a matter of time before the minority GOP “reaches across the aisle” to work on “common sense immigration reform” again.

McCarthy is a swamp rat.

I suppose some Reps may not have wanted to vote in the losing direction, but those numbers are disappointing.
