ep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., beat back a challenge from dark horse candidate, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Wednesday for the role of House Minority Leader, with Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., nabbing the title of GOP conference chairman.
The California lawmaker took a decisive victory against Jordan, bringing in 159 votes to the Ohio representative’s 43 votes. McCarthy was initially elected to the House in 2006 and has served as the House Majority Leader since 2014.
McCarthy "knows what he needs to do," said GOP Whip Steve Scalise, the Louisiana Republican who was gravely wounded in last year's congressional baseball practice shooting and unanimously won the No. 2 spot as minority whip.

You know, I understand your conundrum and struggled with this decision for years.
Then I heard someone say something about voting for DEMs in the general election that made everything crystal clear.
The time to vote against the GOP RINO is in the PRIMARIES, NOT the general election. Support the person launching a primary—donate, lit drop, etc. Do whatever it takes to get the RINO primaried out...However, after the primary, you vote for the Republican.
If you voted for the DEM in the general, what did you do beyond helping Nancy Pelosi and hurting President Trump?!? Our President even said as much in numerous rallies, and he directly asked all Patriots to vote GOP! Did you not hear??
Sorry but IMHO in the big picture, even the worst of the worst globalist RINO is better than any pro-abortion, pro LGBTQxxxxx, pro-electoral college elimination, anti-Constitution, anti-Christian, anti-wall, anti-Second Amendment pro-impeachment Democrat.
I am in IL, I don’t even have the choice to vote for a RINO—and the DEMS are all 100% rabidly anti-Trump.

I actually think McCarthy won’t be as bad as Ryan, but he will have no real power for the next two years.
We're all beaten down right now. Dems keep stealing seats while the GOP pretends to watch, McCarthy as leader, all media including Fox lines up with Jim Acosta to try to control the White House, and of course, we lost the House or rather had it stolen.
But the colonists faced much bigger losses, much stronger opponents yet risked everything for freedom. I'm with you, I'll keep fighting.
MCarthy is a CA “Republican”. That says it all. Jordan might not have done much but these pukes always have the surrender flag ready..
