FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. —

According to Susan Bucher , ballot counting machines broken down in Palm Beach County.

Bucher says they have to rerun all early vote tallies in Senate race ,that already took them a day and a half to tally.

7:25 p.m.

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and a Democratic campaign committee are continuing to file lawsuits over the recount now underway in Florida.

Nelson and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee filed two lawsuits Tuesday. One asks a federal judge to set aside looming deadlines for machine and hand recounts of ballots to give all counties time to complete recounts.

Nelson is trying to win a fourth term but is trailing Republican Gov. Rick Scott in a tight race.

Marc Elias, a campaign attorney for Nelson, said every county should be given a chance to finish recounting the ballots in the race. There are concerns that some large counties will not be able to finish a hand recount if it is ordered.

The deadline for the machine recount is Thursday.

6:15 p.m.

A Florida circuit judge is suspending looming recount deadlines, but her ruling applies to Palm Beach County only and does not apply to the U.S. Senate race between Bill Nelson and Rick Scott.

Leon County Judge Karen Gievers ruled Tuesday that a machine recount in two other statewide elections, including the race for governor, can go beyond Thursday's deadline. Gievers also extended the deadline for a legislative race.

Jim Bonfiglio, a Democrat running for the Legislature, filed the lawsuit asking that recount deadlines be suspended.

Gievers agreed to the delay because Palm Beach does not have enough machines to do four recounts at the same time.

It's not clear, however, if Gievers' ruling will remain in place. Lawyers for Secretary of State Ken Detzner have asked

4:45 p.m.

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and a Democratic campaign committee are filing another lawsuit related to the ongoing recount of the U.S. Senate race in Florida.

Lawyers for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and Nelson filed a lawsuit in federal court Tuesday. This lawsuit asks a federal judge to push back the deadline for a potential hand recount in the race. It also asks a judge to set aside some of the rules in place for a hand recount.

Right now counties are doing a machine recount of the tight race between Nelson and Florida Gov. Rick Scott.

If Nelson and Scott are separated by 0.25 percent or less after the first recount then a second hand recount will be ordered. The results are due Sunday.

Keep counting until you win, then stop counting.

Have some empathy for Nelson.

He is counting on democrats he barely knows and filling out thousands of bogus ballots by hand is a slow process.

The ONLY reason time would be a factor is if the Democrats are cheating.

I COMBINED a bunch of twitter posts from a CNN hacky below. It is a play by play of what Nelson is up to.

Nelson lead lawyer @MarcEElias now on a conference call briefing reporters on his latest lawsuits in the #FloridaRecount

First lawsuit Elias is talking about is the signature match lawsuit. He is suing to “invalidate” the law. One example of how many of these lawsuits are aimed at basically re-writing Florida election law.

Elias argument is that the law is straight up disenfranchisement. He calls it “common sense”. Says many states around the country have gotten rid of similar laws.

Elias now talking about his postmark, vote by mail case. Again- another example of re-writing a Florida election law. The law states the ballot must be at the Election board by 7pm on election night. He argues it should be postmarked by election day.

Elias now talking about his voter intent law- which will be very important in the Nelson race. He believes there are 10s or 100s of thousands of over and under votes. There is a specific problem in Broward County for Nelson. He got about 25k votes less than Gillum. (more)

Not only is Elias (and Democrats) hoping that there is a machine error of some kind that missed many of these votes. They also want to make sure those who look at those votes during the hand recount are liberal in their interpretation of who the voter was voting for.. (more)

Elias wants a Federal Court to require Florida to adjust or just throw out their guidelines as to what canvassers use to determine what votes count and what votes do not count.

The last big lawsuit on the Elias docket is one to extend the recount deadline for all 67 counties. That would be specifically aimed at both Palm Beach and Broward County. (Democratic heavy counties) which there is concern they won’t be done on time.

Elias said that there is really no rush for the recount to finish because a Senator is seated until January.... but also says he thinks that extension they need would likely be days not weeks.

That’s a wrap.. I think we are getting a clearer idea of the path to victory for Bill Nelson. It is a narrow path.. but we certainly can see the direction that Democrats are headed.. The short explanation: expand the pool of available votes.

Can the DOJ do anything to put an end to this fraud?

The thugs are outside the margin of fraud. They need more time to create additional “found” ballots and cover their tracks on the fake votes. I hope these leftists receive justice.

Pathetic country as it stands. Elections are supposed to be a time to reset, take a break. Elections never end anymore. Trump would in 2016...No reset. They kept playing politics for two years. Sorry to say but Trump should do a speech warning about a pending civil war. He should take at least 30 mins from his state if the Union to warn the country that this current path WILL lead to a civil war withamy deaths. Unfortunetly, It may be needed

I thought each side only got three timeouts per half; and asking for instant reply, if not favorable, cost one of them.

Miami-Dade county has 250,000 more registered voters than Broward county but not a peep from Miami-Dade about late vote counting and not being able to meet state reporting deadlines.

The only reason Broward has such large variety of problems is because Snipes needs to manufacture delays to give her and her crew time to fiddle with the ballots.

Nelson is using the same law firm that was behind the dispersal of the BS Dossier.

Do Florida residents have anything to say about this? If I live in Florida, I’d be ready to tear out their windpipes by now.
