Skip to comments. Why western God-haters willfully choose magic, nihilism, depravity, and stupidity

From the close of the Medieval Age on through to our own time, God-haters have been waging war against the God of Revelation. The reason for this unrelenting attack upon the Triune God, but especially Jesus Christ, is mankind's sinful fallen condition. God-haters desire suppression of the knowledge of their own sin, which they hope will stifle the gnawing pain of a guilty conscience

Romans chapter 1 lays it all out.
Evolution, and all science, is up for debate. Present your evidence and overthrow the existing theories.
Like rape, slavery, and genocide?
Heres a bit of help: the two kinds differ chiefly about whether the First Cause or Absolute Substance is nonliving, non-intelligence bearing matter or an unknowing, unknowable, amoral mind. However, both kinds are united by their rejection of the transcendent, personal God and the supernatural realm and by their acceptance of some form of evolution, which serves as an impersonal, mechanical process of development.
My observation of doings over at Hannity forums is that there are men who want to justify themselves will act as if they are open to inquiry and conversation. But if you try to reason with them they usually ignore you but turn around to restate things they’ve been saying all along to others.
One of these is mocking prayer. “God already knows what is going to happen and He causes it anyway” one might say as an aspect of annulling Man’s will and therefore his responsibility, and the proceed to say why should anyone pray, if not to go farther and stand in judgment of the Christian God ....
... please note I’m not speaking of the Muslim’s Allah ... no, to do that would be Islamophobic ... and the shock at the suggestion expressed plainly (though some time ago) that Islam is of Satanic origin still causes me to shake my head ... THOSE were some of the same folks who want to say God does evil so why should it scandalize them to say Allah is not the Lord but a fallen spirit?
... but I digress. Some say they want to know why should anyone pray. To date when I respond by asking if they ever talk to their parents none of those has ever replied.
Because really at the most fundamental level, the Gospel teaching what it does, prayer is to our Father. You talk to your dad.
There’s a story about the guy who founded the Scouts, that when he came of age his earthly father handed him a bill for all the expenses incurred in raising him, from paying the doctor at his birth till that very day. It’s said that the guy paid the bill but never spoke to his father again.
Our Heavenly Father is not like that, He not only doesn’t give us the bill for his gifts but He settled any debts we had against Him through the blood of His only begotten Son.
So what if He knows everything we will say, don’t you talk to a Father like that?
But those who want to justify themselves, they act as if their stuff doesn’t stink. They act as if just because they were born in the flesh that somehow God shouldn’t condemn them because He’s responsible for it all. Every last bad thing they accuse God of. It isn’t that they proverbially think this God has handed them the bill for being alive, but that since they’re alive any god that might exist has no right to condemn them of things he’s responsible for.
Debating with these folks is like beating your head against a wall
None of which are Orthodox Biblical doctrines.
Actually, horse pucky to your horse pucky.
The conditioning being spoken of is NOT the “science” but the propagation of ideas that are useful for ends entirely apart from the science.
This is about education, not of scientists but of the citizenry.
Or, as I long ago pondered, is it really the case that bad textbooks are cheaper than good that on this subject matter they invariably contain old ideas that were frequently considered quaint or outdated before those textbooks were written?
The need for the secularists isn’t for people to understand the science but to believe the proposition, and not so that they should become scientist but so they should become secularists.
Debating with these folks is like beating your head against a wall-—Amen!
I add: their need is also for people whose will is set against thinking because it is too hard.
Now that was duplicity in capital form.
Miss the point much?
‘for if you did you would know that the word ‘genocide’ was invented to describe the massive slaughter of millions of Russians by neo-pagan evolutionary materialist Marxist Communists.’
curious logic...since the word was invented at a later date, the act that it accurately describes in a prior time means the act could never have occurred...ok, gotcha...
‘None of which are Orthodox Biblical doctrines.’
perhaps; but they all were common practices that were understood to be divinely justified...
‘I add: their need is also for people whose will is set against thinking because it is too hard.’
interesting; theists mocking the intellect of free thinkers for not taking their cues from hidebound dogma and doctrine...
Well, we can address the points.
Rape was condemned by God and the rapist got the death penalty.
NEVER condoned. It is a misrepresentation of orthodox Biblical doctrines that rape was condoned.
Slavery was controlled and restricted by God.
Just like when Jesus said that God allowed divorce because of the hardness of men’s hearts, God never intended for mankind to enslave anyone else, but knowing that it would happen, He put serious restrictions on it.
Genocide is a false claim.
God brought judgment on the nations around Israel which practiced ritual child sacrifice. Those peoples burned their infants newborns alive to the god Molech.
God NEVER just randomly eradicated people but always gave them time to repent and forsake their evil practices. They didn’t. the only recourse was to bring judgment on them.
And for the people who get all hot and bothered by that, there are two points to consider. One is that if God did NOT judge them, then it would be a travesty of justice against the babies and other human sacrifices that were made.
The other is that if any one of us knew that our next door neighbors were torturing and sexually busing their children, we would be remiss and complicit in NOT doing something to stop it.
Not acting to stop atrocity is by one’s silence condoning it.
The only way for those practices to stop was eradication of the nations that participated in it.
They were not killed because of who they were for conquest, merely for a land grab, nor capriciously. They were brought to justice for human sacrifice by burning their victims. alive.
All of this means that just as life comes from the living Holy Triune God (even Karl Marx grudgingly admitted this), so too does the ability to think come Him. Thus there is no such thing as 'free thinkers' but people who in their hubris deceive themselves into believing they are.
In 1944, Raphael Lemkin created the term genocide in his book Axis Rule in Occupied Europe. The book describes the implementation of Nazi policies in occupied Europe, and cites earlier mass killings. The term described the systematic destruction of a nation or people, and the word was quickly adopted by many in the international community. The word genocide is the combination of the Greek prefix geno- (γένος, meaning 'race' or 'people') and caedere (the Latin word for "to kill"). The word genocide was used in indictments at the Nuremberg trials, held from 1945, but solely as a descriptive term, not yet as a formal legal term.
According to Lemkin, genocide was "a coordinated strategy to destroy a group of people, a process that could be accomplished through total annihilation as well as strategies that eliminate key elements of the group's basic existence, including language, culture, and economic infrastructure". Lemkin defined genocide as follows:
Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves. The objectives of such a plan would be the disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups.
The preamble to the 1948 Genocide Convention (CPPCG) notes that instances of genocide have taken place throughout history. But it was not until Lemkin coined the term and the prosecution of perpetrators of the Holocaust at the Nuremberg trials that the United Nations defined the crime of genocide under international law in the Genocide Convention.
