“The sun is entering one of the deepest Solar Minima of the Space Age,” wrote Dr Tony Phillips just six weeks ago, on 27 Sep 2018.
Sunspots have been absent for most of 2018 and Earth’s upper atmosphere is responding, says Phillips, editor of spaceweather.com.
Data from NASA’s TIMED satellite show that the thermosphere (the uppermost layer of air around our planet) is cooling and shrinking, literally decreasing the radius of the atmosphere.
To help track the latest developments, Martin Mlynczak of NASA’s Langley Research Center and his colleagues recently introduced the “Thermosphere Climate Index.”
The Thermosphere Climate Index (TCI) tells how much heat nitric oxide (NO) molecules are dumping into space. During Solar Maximum, TCI is high (meaning “Hot”); during Solar Minimum, it is low (meaning “Cold”).
“Right now, it is very low indeed … 10 times smaller than we see during more active phases of the solar cycle,” says Mlynczak

“If current trends continue, it could soon set a Space Age record for cold,” says Mlynczak. “We’re not there quite yet, but it could happen in a matter of months.”

The very real danger here is that AGC Glowbull warming of the past will mesh with the upcoming AGC Glowbull cooling, and the mixing of them results in devastating catastrophic man-made AGC Glowbull Climate Sameness.
Sorry, folks. Gonna cost you Trillion$ to fix that one.

Hanson and his group of criminals managed to erase the more recent history of the Medieval Warm Period and the Little Ice Age. We are past due for the start of the next Ice Age (not a short period of cooling). Geologists all agree we are in an interglacial period. The AGW “scientists” will now be exposed. Tar and Feathers! We should have been preparing for what many of us have known is coming

It’s the same way bookies sets the odds. They adjust them to try to get the same amount of money bet on the same side. Both ends are covered and the bookie gets the “juice”. Gore has collected a lot of “juice” since he left office.

I was calling the coming minimum the Gore-Hansen Minimum.
Burning more fossil fuels will fix that in a jiffy. It’s settled science.
Well for one thing, it would have been perfect for the left just as the Republicans failing to repeal and replace Obamacare and instead sticking themselves with responsibility for its failures was perfect for leftists to run on in the midterm elections. I imagine Europe is not going to fare well with their intense push for renewable energy over traditional.

Meanwhile Jerry Brown claims man-made climate change is now affecting sun spots.
We need a govt agency to regulate the sun.
