The night before the midterm elections, House Speaker Paul Ryan touted tax reform 2.0, the economy, and the rebuilding of the United States military as the agenda accomplishments of the Republican-controlled Congress.
Frankly, our members feel pretty good because they have a really good message I mean look at what weve just been able to achieve in Congress with the President in the last two years, Ryan told Fox News Bret Baier. A record economy, the military being rebuilt, people feeling better about things wages growing faster than they have since before the recession.
The accomplishments of the GOP Congress, though, have been slim with Ryan in charge.

As I keep telling my NeverTrumper relatives,
there just aren’t enough of you guys around anymore
to win elections.
Romney infected this guy. He was never the same after 2012.
Complete Company Guy.
Mr. niteowl77
The only upside to losing the House is there are fewer Bush League Republicans.
Ryan was always a Bush League Republican hell bent on making the USA into North Mexico, that’s why Romney picked him.
Romney infected this guy. He was never the same after 2012.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Romney picked him because Ryan is a loser who never helped the Republicans in any way. So glad to see him gone.
Him and Sessions are having a laugh @ our expense!!
Can’t stand those two traitors!
The biggest problem the GOP faces has nothing to do with Ryan. It's that their constituency is so dispersed and varied that it's damn near impossible to come up with an agenda that they can all support.
Take a wealthy suburbanite in the NYC or D.C. area who drives a BMW or Honda SUV, and a Kentucky libertarian with NRA stickers all over his Ford or Dodge pickup truck. These were part of the GOP base for most of the last 25 years, yet there almost no overlap in the priorities they have, and you probably couldn't find three issues where these two voters would agree on a solution.
To be fair, I CANT imagine immigration being an issue for someone and then voting, no matter HOW BAD the R is, for a D.
Healthcare reform yes.
The house #$#$ed up big. Or they accomplished what they want to do, if you go the nefarious route.
But EVEN THEN< what math adds up to the dems doing something BETTER about it since they gave us obamacare?
No, we don’t want to face that the 18 to 30s voted INSANELY against Rs.
And blacks and hispanics might vote more for Trump than they have for Rs in previous Presidential elections...
they ARE STILL TRUE BLUE D’s at every other level of voting.
This guy can’t exit the stage soon enough. The magnitude of his political malpractice is such that the only way I can explain his position of leadership in the Party is that he’s basically a mole put there by the Democrats.
No, no it’s not impossible.
All any of them has to do is say even one single word against evil.
Just stand up. For one damn time in your life, stand up.
Ask Lindsey Graham.
The reason he was made leader is because most of the party is as he is.
Somebody needs to create a “my work here is done” meme for Paul Ryan similar to the one for Obama.
He’s put there by the Chamber of Amnesty and Insurance Companies. They love Obamacare and Open Borders.
Not Romney. It was the guys on K Street with the big checks. They get them all eventually.
