Bucher Calls Recount Deadline “Impossible,” May Have To Certify Original Results

A judge has ruled that the Florida election recount has to be finished by Thursday. So at least this will all be over in a few days, right? You might want to hold your horses on that one. Yesterday, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher (whose vote-counting history we’ve highlighted here before) told CNN that it was going to be “impossible” for her to meet the deadline. In a separate interview later, she went so far as to suggest that they may have to scrap the recount and just certify the original election results. (The Hill)

The Palm Beach County, Fla., elections supervisor says it is “impossible” to finish the three Florida election recounts by the Thursday deadline.

“It’s impossible,” Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher told CNN, responding to a question about whether officials would be able to finish the recount on time.

Palm Beach County is one of the most critical counties in the state, alongside Broward County.

The first round of machine recounts is supposed to be completed by Thursday, setting up a bitter fight to the finish in Florida’s races for Senate, governor and agriculture commissioner.

So why can’t Palm Beach County (and Broward) finish their work on time if 65 other counties are able to meet the deadline? Last night, Bucher told WPBF News that the delays were the fault of “archaic voting machines.”

That’s what I was thinking. A recount will expose all the fake but accurate ballots. And when DeSantis wins, his first act as governor must be to fire every one of these crooks. If he doesn’t Trump will not win in two years.

If they recount now, they will probably have too many ballots. I think the police arrived in time to keep them from discarding some of what they tried to replace. Better to lose than to get exposed in a way that hurts them even more.

She knows that if she certifies the initial results, the odds of her going to prison decrease significantly.

Broward County will soon do the same because that woman won’t be able to explain where the 75,000+ additional votes came from or explain the videos of election workers filling out blank ballots, or explain the cases of ballots being placed in rented trucks moved from the trunks of cars.

Would be very surprised if Enterprise has not been subpoenaed for the records for those truck rentals.

Would also hope that cell phone records and location history for those cells phones have been subpoenaed. Same with email records for all individuals in the elections office and local democrat party.

Can you freakin’ believe this? These South Florida County election offices, their personnel collect paychecks all year around. Then when election day finally comes around they treat elections like a trifle, like a joke. On election day they are not prepared to count the votes quickly and competently.

But it’s not just incompetence here. In Broward they were manufacturing Democrat ballots and votes. Maybe in Palm Beach too.

Do you realize how time consuming it is to manufacture just the right number of votes to win without being obvious?

Maybe they’re now worried that any fraudulent activity that occurred after the election will be proven if a recount actually occurs.

They have no doubt altered and polluted the original ballot "universe" to the point that it cannot be recounted because it no longer exists.

19 Florida Counties, including Palm Beach, use the Dominion Voting Systems, Inc.

48 Florida Counties, including Broward, use the Election Systems & Software, LLC

https://dos.myflorida.com/elections/voting-systems/certified-voting-systems-and-vendors/

Why are Palm Beach and Broward Counties having problems counting votes when the other 65 Florida Counties using the same voting systems are not having an issue?

Palm Beach
Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. Sequoia voting system is a blended-based voting system that has a paper-based system with an element for compliance with HAVA provisions for accessibility voting using a DRE touchscreen. The voting system consists of an election management system (EMS) – the WinEDS; an optical scan precinct count tabulator—the Insight Plus (Insight); and an optical scan central count tabulator - the AVC 400C. The Insight tabulator is a scanner for use with marksense paper ballots. This tabulator can transmit the tabulated results from the precinct to the EMS server using an analog modem. The Optech 400-C tabulator is a high-speed scanner for use with marksense paper ballots. The EDGE is a precinct-count DRE touchsceen tabulator which, with the audio and visual-accessible voting functionality (AVC EDGE Audio Component) [Figure 3] enables a voter to cast an electronic “paperless” ballot using a computer screen for visual voting and/or audio voting with tactile interfaces using a keypad and connection to ear phones. The EDGE does not transmit the tabulated results from the precinct to the EMS server, since it does not have a modem capability.

Broward
Election Systems & Software, LLC EVS 4.5.3.0, Version 1 is a paper-based voting system with an element for compliance with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) provisions for precinct voting. The Florida certified voting system includes the Election Management System (EMS), a precinct scanner, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant accessibility devices, and central count scanners. The EMS hardware platform is configured as either a stand-alone or a server/client configuration. The stand-alone configuration includes the election management system and the election results reporting manager; whereas, the server/client configuration includes one or more workstations (clients) which interconnect with a server. The system includes an option to upload election results wirelessly or using an analog modem.

This issue is ultimately what decided Bush v. Gore in 2000. At Gore's behest the Florida Supreme Court allowed the protest period to extend past its statutory deadline, which thus cut into the statutory contest period. Bush appealed that ruling to the US Supreme Court, which then ruled 7-2 that this left insufficient time for appeals before the "safe-harbor" period (which would ensure Florida's electoral votes could be counted at all when the Electoral College voted), and so they overruled the FSC. Thus, if Gore and his lawyers had honored the legal time deadlines, he might have won.

The USSC's ensuing 5-4 margin hinged on what should have been done about the safe-harbor issue. Bush prevailed.

Let’s see. The first count starts at 7PM on election night and is mostly finished by midnight, but it’s “impossible” to finish the recount one week and two days later?

She also knows that if she certifies the original results, nobody is going to have much legal standing to file a Federal civil rights lawsuit against her. How can anyone prove that his or her ballot was not counted?

as I recall, a subsequent recount conducted by the MSM (hardly fans of GWB) as a result of FOIA requests revealed that GWB would have won if the recount had run it’s course.

Good point. I also don’t think it was the deadlines that were the key issue in 2000 — it was the manual counting standards that were not consistent across the entire state.

OK Ms Bucher why aren’t the other 19 Florida counties that use the Dominion System having any problems?

When a corrupt person is in charge, they have no problem in saying it is due to their incompetence that something is not working.

Anyone know how long Bucher has been Supervisor of Elections in Palm Beach County?

The writer is wrong on many counts...First off the ballot was six pages long both sides in many areas....There are exactly 30 cities in all of Broward County which is 1,323 sq miles of land and water.61.13% of the registered voters bothered to vote at all. Per SOE where I work.Besides the folks running for jobs there were 14 Constitutional changes and 12 County changes to its constitution all included on the ballot designed by the Supervisor of elections thats dumb. If all who voted did so thru a as200 ballot Scanner that amounts to 4,277,040 pieces of paper. Each Pct at close does a computer run n 2 copies 1 to driver who picks up the equipment and the second carried by the Clerk of the PCT is there private car with seals attached on all bags 4-8 bags per pct.....Well I shall enlighten you this election as of the last announcement 712,840 people voted in Broward County at six (6) pages both sides that amounts to 4 million,277 thousand and forty pages of ballot form....in a county of 1, 843,152 people.....of which 593,540 are registered democrats, 252 thousand and twenty three are registered Republicans and three hundred twenty eight thousand eight hundred and sixty eight no party affiliation,,,,,,,,the people count who voted were increased by close to 50% overall...AND YOU DO REALIZE THERE ARE 608 Polling Locations in Broward County....an all cites had questions on the ballotts that were for that city alone....so as you can see this is a huge undertaking....

You rent a truck. You place boxes of ‘provisional’ ballots in the truck, all of which are completed for the desired outcome. Some of your staff helps to fill these out transporting them in rented vehicles to be sure that their own cars are not identified. You then drive the truck to each precinct to pick up valid provisional ballots. You then take all of them to headquarters to be counted in with the post election tally of legitimate non-provisional ballots. You then find out you need more pre-election desired result provisional ballots. You get the word out and one of your staff doesn’t know that he needs to drop off another box, prematurely returning the rental car still having the desired result ballots in the trunk.

What am I missing?
