@TheBushCenter

The “Honduran Caravan” is capturing headlines as thousands migrate toward the U.S. border to seek #asylum. Those fleeing their homes and countries are looking for a safer and more prosperous life, many having experienced extreme poverty and gang violence.

He was the best option we had, kind of like Juan McCain & Mitt Romney. I actually liked Bush in his 1st rem, primarily because we were attacked. But I wasn’t enthusiastic when he ran, for sure.

Anyone that believes things are so bad in Central America the people must leave needs to get the UN and other organizations involved, set up refugee camps, aid, help the people.

The people coming here in mass is not the answer. We need to keep our people secure. Allowing large numbers of people to come here when many choose to simply enter illegally and those that do claim asylum often don’t follow up on it- meaning it is a scam.

Of course they are, moron. They can apply for entry to the USA through LEGAL procedures.

I can't believe that I once campaigned for this jackass.

Yes, major Bush failures in my book:

1. Failed to properly identify the enemy who attacked us on 9/11 (radical Islam), thus leading to $7 trillion and thousands of lives wasted on nation-building wars that have left us less secure than had we not fought them.

2. Patriot Act, as you mentioned.

3. Slithery SCOTUS pick (Roberts) who sold us out on Obamacare and other cases.

4. Failure to secure the border after 9/11, and subsequent sell out on immigration, which has turned a number of states from red to purple, and soon blue.

5. Failure to crack down on mortgage abuse and subsequent bail out with taxpayer dollars of those responsible for the financial meltdown.

Yes, probably Obama taken as a whole did worse for the country than Bush, but if you compare Bush to what a Republican ought to have done and Obama compared to Democrats in general, I’d say the impact of Bush was worse.

George, the “caravan” crowd sounds like the perfect workforce for your 300,000 acres in Paraguay. They’re headed the wrong way.

“And to think I voted for him. Then again, algore and Kerry would have been a disaster.”

No need for self-flagellation...that was the hand we we were dealt. On the other hand, I don’t think either of those two handjobs would have gotten us into the colossal blunder of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ever since 9/11 I think the Bush crowd, the so-called neocons, have been doing the bidding of Saudi Arabia and positioning us for war with Iran.

Trump was needed to give us a chance to move away from that nonsense and I hope Trump does it in the end.

That murder in Turkey by the Saudis may be the catalyst for a more realistic policy by Trump.

Honduran caravan people seeking safer and more prosperous life

But making ours more dangerous and poorer. Are we allowed to seek a safer and more prosperous life by keeping them out?

Interesting point, my FRiend.

We are certainly less safe (crime including drug gangs and communicable diseases, including TB, hepatitis, parasites, etc); and we are less prosperous because their "prosperity" is free stuff from you and me.

There is also the culture theft thingy (diluting ours and keeping theirs), and I see little in the way of gratitude in the illegals already here.

.

Thought that too...how many will W and Laura take in...but, suspect, they will vote in Texas and make that State completely Dem. Maybe better to send them to Maine....Kennebunkport is beautiful. I’m sure the NE liberals will be happy to support those entering the U.S. illegally.

Hey Georgie boy, you love illegal aliens so much, why don't you take them and move them all into your GATED, WALLED, Kennebunk mansion in Maine!

No, you don't want to do that because it would endanger YOUR FAMILY, YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY and it "wouldn't be prudent?"

Well guess what Georgie boy: THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON'T WANT THEM EITHER, FOR THE VERY SAME REASONS. And YES, I AM YELLING! What a GLOBALIST, RINO, DOLT.

George W. Bush personal fortune, estimated at $40m. How many Hondurans could he afford to provide a minimum wage to for them to remain in Honduras?

A lot of other people from other countries are too, but they are doing it legally. These people are not. They are hoping that their arrogance will be overlooked. They step in front of people who are waiting to do it legally. Turn them back and tell them to do it legally.
