A poll worker is accused of refusing to let a military vet vote in Lake Forest.
Former Army veteran John Reader says an older man with a beard and a Hawaiian shirt told him a flag on his t-shirt was a symbol of hatred and was prohibited in a polling place.
I was standing here waiting to vote, and a gentleman
said this flag was an item of protest and symbol of hatred, Reader said. I clearly explained it was an American flag, he said its not in color, I was not allowed to wear it.
He wouldnt let me vote unless I turned my shirt inside out, which I refused to do, added Reader.
Witnesses say the man only identified as Bill accused Reader of supporting President Donald Trump

an older man with a beard and a Hawaiian shirt told him a flag on his t-shirt was a symbol of hatred and was prohibited in a polling place People like this have no place as poll workers.
Unfortunately all polling places seem to be run by Democrats, and none of them seem to have any accountability; they do what they want.

People need to go in with video in the record mode. Get evidence on tape. Get names.
Push back hard.

The poll worker looks like a perpetual hippie in his 60’s. The American flag a symbol of hatred?

This doesn't make sense. Some guy named Bill can't stop you from voting.
You can call the Inspector over and IF they are also stupid, call the County Election Department and have them call the Inspector. All this could happen in 5 minutes.

You need to get out of blue country.

I wore a red MAGA hat and a red shirt when I voted. there were no comments.
On June 13, SCOTUS ruled that there could be no limitations on political messaging on clothing worn by citizens when they voted.

In my town, there are ALWAYS at least three police officers in attendance at polling places. Not fat rent-a-cops from the Auxiliary force but front line, top notch local PD...many of whom I know personally.
If this had happened to me I would have asked one to please assist me because I was being denied access to the voting place by a volunteer poll worker.
