What big tech has done to conservative and other undesirable publishers is nothing short of a digital Kristallnacht. Andrew Marchs, filmmaker
On Tuesday night, after the votes were counted, Democrats took control of the US House of Representatives.
wealthy suburban voters and women are being credited for the win.
At least 35 Republican lawmakers lost their seats on Tuesday night.
Democrats have a huge advantage over Republicans with their partners in the media complex, Hollywood, and academia.
And, unlike 2016, this year Democrats can also can give a huge amount of credit to Tech giants Google, Facebook and Twitter.
Suburban voters and women no longer were reading conservative articles on Facebook. Facebook eliminated at least 1.5 billion links to conservative articles since 2017. If you add additional websites like The Gateway Pundit, Infowars, Young Cons, Right Wing News, etc. the number tops 2 billion easy. And it likely made a difference on Tuesday night. 80% of women age 18-49 have Facebook accounts. These are the women who get their news from Facebook. Facebook knows this and eliminated conservative content on their platform so their would be no repeat of 2016.

I use FB.
I spend quite a bit of time posting conservative content.
At one time my kids told me I was shadow banned.
Just the same, I’ve gotten the word out to a few people who wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise. And I’ve gotten blocked by a few people who are touchy feely libs. So sorry. :( Truth hurts.
Last night, I posted a bunch of stuff about the elections being stolen in Broward. Otherwise, many of my FL friends would be getting the election news from lib news outlets, might not be aware Broward has been doing this for YEARS. It’s important to get in there FIRST, before the news shapes the story.
So we do fight a bit of the good fight.
I WISH! I really do. There are a ton of alternates — including:

https://mewe.com
https://www.mumblit.com

https://spreely.com

... but none of them have the functionality or reach or ubiquity that Facebook currently has. And when Facebook can spend hundreds of millions of dollars to grow their infrastructure and feature list, and to acquire their competitors, I don’t see any time soon when there could possibly by a compelling alternate. Which is both sad and frustrating.
Anything on or not on Facebook would not have altered my vote.
No kid...Gab got pulled by a SP too
All social media and SP abuse the public spectrum time to be split into Baby FaceBooks
I havent used FB in a very long time however Laz posts to my page all the time my page has been purged!!!!
Yes, very frustrating. Thank you for all the info.
Free Republic doesn't have a billion world wide users. Anything that massive needs a government to stop them from censoring. Small private sites ought to be able to do as they wish, but massive communications sites ought to be *FORCED* to carry all traffic whether their owners want to or not.
How about you and I create something so compelling that a billion people use it daily? Lets get busy. Those sites dont create themselves.
The idea that you are going to create a website that is worth half a trillion dollars is just ridiculous. You can't buy into this modern poker game on the cheap anymore. If you do not have half a trillion to build such a competing system, you aren't going to be able to build one.
The solutions you offer are impossible. We need to focus on real possible solutions.
And what are you going to do about massive server farms?
As much as any number of Facebook pages by Conservatives were deleted, I have never known Facebook users of the Left or of Conservatives to have any possitive response to anything poltical posted by the other side; so I don’t think Conservatives ever gained more Conservative votes from anything on Facebook.
I have never known Liberals or Conservatives on Facebook to persuade each other on any political issue, via Facebook.
I looked at most of the sites you kindly sent me and they look pretty good. I’ll check them all. Thanks again.
You got it! I work with a bunch of online publishers, and it seems they’re going with either MeWe or Gab.
I joined Gab. I couldn’t join the Deplorables for some reason it didn’t work. Now I’ll check out MeWe.
Pamela Gellar has an article with the same title:

The biggest problem most conservatives don’t get with their desire to get government involved is that as soon as Facebook is put in to the public register as regulated by the government, it becomes the defacto protected official source. It no longer can be competed against. The rise of neutral social media is impossible.
