House Democrats have a Plan B to make sure Robert Mueller’s findings in the Russia investigation see the light of day if President Trump fires the special counsel, a report said.
Democrats, who regained control of the House in Tuesday’s midterm elections, are preparing for a Saturday Night Massacre situation in which Trump fires top Justice Department officials in an attempt to quash Mueller’s investigation.
In that scenario, Democratic officials told Politico, Mueller would be immediately summoned to Capitol Hill, where he would testify about his findings on national television.

Mueller would just end up embarrassing himself with the lack of any substance and he sure as heck won’t want to do that. How about an inquiry into Hillary’s collusion with Russia? Now that’s something they can substantiate.

Well, as fun as that would be, we already know a Congressional Subpoena is meaningless. mueller can tell Congress to shove it up their @ss with ZERO repercussions.
Congressional hearings are actually Congressional Speakings. They are convened so the committee members an make prepared speeches and watch people (sometimes) squirm. But in the last few years even people with zero political capital have learned just how little these things mean.
Hell if it were me I would demand the most public possible hearing possible

If Trump fires Rosenstein, impeach.
If Trump gets up in the morning, impeach.
If Trump does or doesn’t do anything, impeach.
This actually is very liberating. They are going to impeach him whatever he does or doesn’t do. So that frees him to do whatever the heck he wants to, and do it preferably now. Fire them all. Declassify it all. Put it all out on the table for the public to see, and let the chips fall where they fall.
I think they’re being ignorant. It makes all the difference now that he’s got someone overseeing the investigation who is not part of the coup. What’s the point of a “Saturday Night Massacre”? Whitaker just pockets the report and starts blasting away in the other direction.
Big Fing deal let him testify no one can prevent that, unless some of the info is confidential. He’d be crossed by republicans and that might undermine ongoing prosecutions. So big deal. I think they’d make fools of themselves.
