Shooter seems to have been familiar with the place - immediately took out the security guard, shot the cashier and headed toward the office.
I understand the direction you are going here. And suicide is also a serious problem. But we are at a point where harming others besides themselves is becoming just as much of a problem.
What happened to the days when a mental health provider actually earned their money with support and dialog instead of just running them through like cattle prescribing dangerous drugs and accepting events like this as an acceptable side effect?
It really needs to be seriously addressed because there has got to be a better way which might protect both sides of this equation.

She told reporters that her family was military and she know a lot about guns. She said the shooter "looked like he knew what he was doing".

It’s just a theory I have, but I think criminals often don’t follow laws. Laws are pretty much only followed by people who don’t do things like this.
