Trump replied, “Honestly? … Let me tell you, that’s a racist question.”
The Washington Press Corps was floored.

If you claim to be a journalist you should at minimum understand the meaning of words. Nationalist has nothing descriptive about it that is added by the ignorant.
The universities are turning out some real crap. The government needs to stop subsidizing them.
President Trump needs to say very clearly: The words Nationalist and Racist are not synonyms. That is the problem these reporters have. They don’t actually know the definition of the words.
When they answer by saying the “Nazi’s were white nationalist” the reply should be NAZI stands for National Socialist. So why are not socialist racist?

As an aside, the press is trying to force their postmodernist rules and vocabulary on the President and he's having none of it.
The postmodern term here that they are trying to force is that "nationalist" automatically means "white nationalist" (i.e. white supremacist). The are trying to paint Trump with the racist brush simple because he doesn't want open borders and wants to stop the "caravan."
The press is trying to create a PC link so that the word "nationalist" will always bring to mind "white supremacist."
Trump refused to play that game and the press is pissed.
The postmodern "rule" they were trying to force on Trump is that Black folks can never be racist. He also refused to play that game and, by implication, called her a racist.
And then to top it all off, he pulls Acosta's WH press pass.

No, President Trump is not a “nationalist”, he is a patriot, there is a huge difference.
Barrack Obama was a nationalist. a minority /ethnic black nationalist who conducted pressers and fundraisers which barred white reporters. Obama also attended Ralph Wright’s Chicago church for 20 years, where Wright continuously preached the racial supremacy of Black people. That’s real nationalism.Trump does not bar reporters or anyone based on race.He does not organize events based on race or support superiority of people based on race. Obama did but the press remained silent.
President Trump is right. It was a racist question,attempting to paint the President racially as something he is not.
