The House is gone and our RINO rep lost so in two years we can vote a real conservative back in. I figure if we are losing the House anyway this is a good time to get rid of Woodall. He votes like a Democrat so we won’t see much difference.

Bad night for CO. On the bright side, Amendment 73 failed and I never liked that dick coffman anyway. And oh joy, we have an openly gay governor living with his partner and poor little boy in the governors mansion.

Amazingly all the "bad" amendments failed. The income tax increase ("for the children"), the 2 road measures, the oil and gas setback- all of them. It doesn't really make sense that the state would elect a far lefty like Polis but still hold the line on tax increases. I suspect the ads Polis ran saying he was a fiscal conservative and proposed a balanced budget amendment when he was in the House fooled a lot of people. Wait until they see what he has in mind as governor!

The saving grace is we have TABOR (tax payers' bill of rights) so he is limited in the damage he can do.

I don't think so. I'd guess 3-4 months at most.

We know that POTUS has been moving puzzle pieces around to be able to prosecute the upper tier of extremely evil doers--in Congress, and elsewhere. It sounds like at the outside, after the 1st of Jan 2019, law and whatever other necessary changes will be in place and the prosecutions can go ahead--maybe at a fast pace.

We may not have even one month of their nastiness. IF Trump says--knock off the nastiness or else, and makes the 'or else' abundantly clear in terms of rougher legal handling and punishment consequences speedier, they might just have to go to Sam's Club and buy some sanity or a muzzle for themselves.

I’m pissed we lost the House, but this had nothing to do with PDJT! As you say, Trump purged the RINOs and helped to give us a larger majority in the Senate, which will in turn provide us the opportunity to appoint more conservative Judges to our courts!

Yeah! I’ve been waiting for his concession tonight. Florida is getting bluer, no doubt, but we held them off for one more election cycle today. Now, if we could just get rid of Crist, my Congressman, sheesh. Hope springs eternal on that one.

2) Nevada result?
3) Az result?

The most important vote is the very first one that determines who is in the majority—who controls the committees, the floor votes, everything. So even a Republican who votes with you 0% of the time is better than a Democrat who votes with you 0% of the time, because they help you with your majority status. Way better. And in practice a GOP Senator from a blue state will vote with you at least some more often than will a Democrat from that same blue state.

Trust me, no Democrat who gets elected in Maine would ever have done what Susan Collins did with Kavanaugh. Even red state Democrats didn’t, knowing they were going to lose because of voting against him.

It is stupid to run a conservative Republican in a deep blue state who has no chance of getting elected.

But it is even more stupid to elect a Republican in a deep red state who won’t be a 100% reliable conservative vote.

Candidates should be as conservative as possible while being electable.
