House Speaker Paul Ryan pleaded with President Trump in a phone call to tout the booming economy rather than continue attacking the migrant caravan in Mexico in the final days before Tuesday’s midterm elections, according to a report on Monday.
The Wisconsin Republican reached out to Trump on Sunday and urged him to change his message but the president said his focus on immigration is firing up his supporters, Politico reported.
“Trump has hijacked the election,” a senior House Republican aide told Politico about Trump’s attention on immigration. “This is not what we expected the final weeks of the election to focus on.”

I must be living in an alternate universe, since I have not ever seen Trump miss an opportunity to tale about the economy and he definitely should talk about the caravan and illegal immigration.
Ryan is getting in his last chance smears at Trump.
“How can we miss him if he won’t go away?”
It will be some operation that he shilled for and protected while in the House.
Probably with someone making big bucks from illegal aliens or Obamacare.
No wonder POTUS Trump didn’t ask Ryan up on Stage at the WI Rally. Good riddance.
