I am terrified.
I am a citizen by birth of the United States, an activist, a writer, a Boston Red Sox fan.
I am also transgender.
And as a transgender person, I'm terrified. I'm terrified because my country's government is proposing to erase my existence.
We recently learned of the Trump administration's proposed definition of gender — a proposal that would exclude trans people from federal recognition, and potentially many civil rights protections.
This definition could have severe consequences. Under this definition, I could be denied access to the medication I need. I could be denied housing and work, and discriminated against legally based on the fact that my gender does not match the "F" on my passport.

You’re not “transgender”, you’re mentally ill. Surgically mutilating your body will only compound the problem, because the underlying mental illness was never treated correctly. And when you finally figure that out, there is no way to restore your body to its original condition.

This person is sick. Quite possibly a danger to others as much as themselves. This ends one way or another. I will not tiptoe about a potentially insane man or woman.

Transgenders have to be the most miserable people. They gave into their wants and now don’t know what is right or wrong.
As a senior, there was no transgenders in past years... it’s made up... it’s suggested.. it’s given out to the youth as possible.. and the youth are vulnerable. So are some adults. To do this instead of meeting problems head on and doing the right thing... they dabble in stuff that should be left alone.
To let parents list their baby as none or whatever... it’s getting into areas where it’s sheer stupidity! There is a lot of messing with sex, sex change, sex whatever... is there any sense left out there in all this!
And cutting off your junk doesn't make you a woman, just a eunuch.
