Full title: BREAKING: Thousands of Armed U.S. Troops Will Be Deployed to the Border by Friday, Here's What They'll Be Doing
Officials from the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense announced Monday 5200 additional active duty U.S. troops will be deployed to the southern border with Mexico by Friday. Eight-hundred soldiers are on their way to Texas now.
“They are in fact deploying with weapons," U.S. Northern Command Air Force General Terrence O'Shaughnessy said during a press conference. "I think the President has made it clear that border security is national security."
Troops are being sent to bolster border security in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas as at least three caravans from Central America make their way through Mexico and toward the United States. The caravans pose a special threat due to their size, which range from 3,000 people to more than 10,000. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan, at least one caravan near Guatamala, Mexico has used violent tactics to breach a number of international borders.
"Due to the large size of the potential caravans that may arrive at the border, the Department of Homeland Security has further requested the support of the Department of Defense," McAleenan said. "We will not allow a large group to enter the U.S. unlawfully."
Troops will be used to build fencing, provide medical units, harden points of entry and address key gaps in points of entry. Air and ground transportation will be provided to move agents and equipment. This support requires military planning teams and heavy equipment, including Black Hawk helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
One-thousand additional Customs and Border Protection officers and agents are also being deployed to handle operations.
They do appear to be new tent poles, by the dozens.
According to Mexican authorities, the Caravans 2 & 3 are armed with guns and firebombs.
The Mexican border police have been attacked with sticks, clubs, rocks, broken glass bottles and pieces of metal fence poles they have ripped down in crashing the border.
The tents are not intended for shelter they are intended to process people VERY QUICKLY and send them home!!! NO MORE catch and release until their court date they STAY right where they are until they are processed and sent home!!! Mexico has offered asylum to those that NEED asylum they have refused, asylum will be given to those who really need it in the FIRST country they entered which is Mexico!!! That is the law asylum givin in country of entry!!!!

The former director of DHS said military will be in a logistic capacity NOT on the border.
There is no reason to have armed military on the border, and then you have someone shot...and you have another issue.

Thanks for the clarification on the tent cities. I guess I was expecting too much, wanting them turned away immediately. This is actually a really good solution. And you’re right, I bet half will leave before they even get their court date.
And then Trump can use this event to push for the wall. Now it is clear and everyone’s mind while your wall is so important. As usual, the liberal tactic backfired completely.
I heard an ad for Kevin McCarthy’s fund the wall bill. So the timing couldn’t be better. Except the ad make me want to throw up in my mouth because it kept calling Kevin McCarthy conservative. I lived there when he took over Bill Thomas’s spot, both our establishment through and through.

With only a week until the election we’ll know before long, of course the showdown may not come until after but I truly believe there will be one.
If our Border Patrol, troops or whatever agency are fired on by armed invaders I’ve no doubt at all we’ll return fire.
I do not believe if women and children are put in front of the horde they will be authorized to fire.
Pres. Trump's legal team should tell any judge who issues an injunction or restraining order that his/her order is invalid due to the Constitution and more specifically the US Code laws. He should ignore such rulings and tell those judges how they have no such authority over the Executive Branch.
He/legal team can also remind said judges of the recent USSC decision upholding his EO regarding non-entry for specific nations. The lib/socialists can moan and groan and most likely scream at rallies, but the law is the law. The Executive Branch has the singular authority to enforce the laws as approved by Congress. End story.

Clinon's error was to not provide armor or air support when requested. The dumb ass didn't want to make it an international deal and just nab the top bad guys. Ironically, it turned out a much bigger deal because of his poor CIC judgement.

When they get to the border the military should used their “arms” to shoot the first couple of thugs that step up to throw a rock. If they drop a couple of them it will send a clear message.
Nope. The blast radius was ALMOST the same as the range. The troops who were to shoot it were told to take cover after firing.
