(snip) --- Part and parcel of the key role of illegal immigration is the general lawlessness in the nation embodied in cities and states thumbing their noses at the federal government with such things as sanctuary cities. The unwillingness or inability of Donald Trumps administration so far to deal with this has contributed to the general climate of violencenot his rhetoric. Rather, there still seems a sense that lawbreakers at the highest level on down to the city council can get away with ignoring the law.
Lincoln spoke reverently about the law. In doing so, he was indirectly addressing the inherent violence of mobbing and the lynching of blacks in the South.
Once you apply the law fairly and equally to all, miraculous things happen: a sense of civic duty appears. This is the force that has adults correct misbehaving teenagers in public; which has ordinary people pick up litter that they did not throw down; that has pedestrians and drivers alike obey traffic signs. It is the glue of society that has been steadily eroded by illegal immigration for 30 years and now by the stupendous failure of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to enforce the law seemingly at any level. He is capable of holding a back-patting press conference on a goofball incompetent bomber, but has yet to arrest a single member of the Deep State for attempting to overthrow and election, or to put one California public official in jail for flaunting immigration laws.
The law has a way of imposing itself, often when violence grows so common that, to quote Cousin Eddie in Christmas Vacation, the Shitters full. Unfortunately, if we reach that point, it will not be law enforcement officials who will finally enforce the Law.

So it’s Trump’s fault?
Larry, I agree with you on many issues. But this is over the top.
Retract it or defend it.
Yep. CW2 is well within sight. Keep stocked up and don’t forget the petfood!
EVERY Bush League Republican MUST be replaced.
Alexander and Graham in 2020, there are probably more, but these two voted for Rubio’s amnesty.
Rubio isn’t up until 2022.
America is at that awkward stage. Its too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. --- opening lines of 101 Things To Do Til The Revolution by Claire Wolfe
I don’t need to defend it. It’s obvious. The refusal by Sessions to arrest anyone and/or to discipline ANY “sanctuary city” is causing a major, major problem.
It is a contributing factor.
“Lincoln spoke reverently about the law. In doing so, he was indirectly addressing the inherent violence of mobbing and the lynching of blacks in the South.”
Slave holders lynching blacks in the South? You think modern day farmers will set fire to a brand new $30,000 tractor.
That was about what a slave cost in today’s money.
Absolutely correct. Hold your ground on this point.
Hillary Clinton broke 18 US Code 793f. It is black letter law. The refusal of any executive branch authority to even accuse her of the crime, much less charge her, is a perfect example of the problem you address.
Here’s some history you should have included....
Illegal immigration began in earnest with Fat Teddy and the Hart-Cellar Act of 1965.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_Nationality_Act_of_1965
It further escalated in the Clinton/Bush/Obama years.
Short of sending federal troops into the cities sparking riots and civil insurrections, President Trump has played his hand in the best manner possible.
Especially with a disastrous loser for an A/G.
Told repeatedly that Hillary Clinton absolutely could not lose, the meda-polling complex built an alternative reality that, when shattered, convinced tens of thousands of people (including most elites) that someone had stolen the election.
Great post...
Can I see an example of this violence Trump has caused?
The fact that not ONE “Antifa” person at the Inauguration was charged with civil rights violations, means that EVERY subsequent act of violence by Antifa is, in part, at Sessions’ feet.
_______________
It's getting pretty damn late .....
So tell me, how was the inauguration violence and all the violence which followed Trumps fault? What specifically did Trump do to cause this violence? And more importantly, how could Trump have put a stop to all this well organized and well financed leftist violence?
______________
That guy was the most talentless individual I ever saw. Thanks for wasting five minutes of my time. How completely sophomoric.
This is a great read. Thanks.

Here is yet another example of leftist violence that just broke.

Is this Trumps fault too? If so, how so?
