Oooh.
OFFICIALLY?
I better mark this day on my calendar.
For a Convention of the States dedicated to Georgias application language, which would re-balance citizens rights versus federal power and state power, the count is 12 down, 22 to go.
For a Convention of the States dedicated to a balanced budget amendment only, the count is 30 down, 4 to go.
I’m all in!
Is that what’s on his mind, less than two weeks before Midterms?
Our federal government is dysfunctional, divorced from the Constitution, and cannot reform itself. Either the State legislatures stand up and be heard, our Republic is doomed.
Hopefully my grandkids will one day be saying thank God for Article V.
Idea still scares the heck out of me, due to the very poor knowledge of the Constitution possessed by so many Americans in 2018.
Pop the cork on this puppy and we could wind up with constitutional “rights” to health care, a house and free college.
I guess we’re running out of options that don’t involve lead flying though.
Senility is an awful thing to see in one who previously had some sense.
Nappy should be in the looney bin!
When a Concon is called they should address one amendment at a time, send it on to the sates for ratification, stay in session, address another amendment, send it to the states, stay in session and continue until all needed amendments are addressed.
A majority of our current elected and appointed government representatives - by and large ignore the current Constitution or bend it to achieve their goals. Why should anyone believe that a Convention of the States will make the people in power behave any differently? Our current batch of representatives and government leaders will treat any revision (or re-write) of our premier governing document as they do the current one.
We will either elect a majority of representatives who will impeach and remove those who do not uphold the Constitution and who will jail traitors and the seditious - or we will continue pretending that the Constitution is law of the land and see our republic evolve into a socialist state or worst.
Related: If our government fails to stop the invasion of illegals from the south, we can look forward to Soro's vision for America coming to pass. Our republic as envisioned by the founders will be over.
At the close of the constitutional convention of 1787, we have this exchange between Benjamin Franklin and a convention attendee: Well, Doctor, what have we gota Republic or a Monarchy?
Franklin's reply: A Republic, if you can keep it.
Con con will work, IF AND ONLY IF THERE ARE NO LIEBERALS IN ATTENDANCE!
If Con con is organized and run by Constitutional Conservatives, there might be a chance for some good things to happen.
If LIEberals are allowed to participate, they will screw it up, fer shure, fer shure!
How do Constitutional Conservatives control the delegates?
What are the limitations?
Much mischief can be done if the wrong people - LIEberals - are allowed to participate.
Until the makeup and rules for the Con con are agreed upon, I’m against convening it!
Repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.
Let’s do it, country obviously out of control
This guy is a fruitcake. If it wasn’t for FOX, Napolitano wouldn’t have a job.
what on earth makes anyone think that the result (whatever that turns out to be) of a convention of states would be any less horrifying than what we have now?
Whoopdeedoo. Who cares what that has been thinks.
Is that like the Ice Cream ?
I agree with Publius Huldah, not Mark Levin.
Regardless, we are not enforcing the Constitution we have.
Folks supporting the convention of the states really do really not understand the venality of people involved in modern American politics. I simply do not trust that whatever comes out of the other end of it will even have a passing resemblance to being a republican form of government.
Is a Convention of States the same as the Constitutional convention that Ross Perot was advocating for back in the 90s?
